I don't believe in the supernatural. Sure, it's fun to believe in, I guess, but science has not proven (that I know of) that any extra-terrestrial / supernatural claims are real. Just my opinion
For the extra-terrestrial. Actually science has proven that it's likely that we're not alone.
However it has proven that there is not aliens on earth, etc.

Based on data from the Kepler spacecraft (expect more from TESS in 2017)
There are 30 confirmed and an additional unconfirmed 112 exoplanets that have similar characteristics to earth, and this is only from surveying 1/400th of the sky (which itself is a fraction of our galaxy), and only looking at certain stars within that section of sky.
Also TESS (which will launch in 2017) will look at 500,000 stars (still 1/600,000th of our galaxy) so expect those numbers to climb into the tens of thousands.

Extrapolating from those findings you can see that it is very very very unlikely that we're alone

Yeah so from what I've seen it's between 15 billion and 100 billion earth like planets in our galaxy

Let's take the lower estimate (10 billion) and be a bit generous... let's also say that life is extremely hard to develop and on only 0.0001% of those planets life develops. (tbh it's probably more likely than this, this is just a really low estimate, I'd say around 0.1%)

So we have 1 million planets with life.

Let's be generous again and say that on only 0.01% of THOSE planets life is able to survive along to become multi-cellular.

So now we have 10,000 planets with multi-cellular life.

And on those planets let's say that only 0.01% of those become intelligent

100 Civilizations in our galaxy.

And not to mention those were quite literally the lowest estimates I could derive...

And for RC_4777 + Twee still feel like it was all just for you?

I remember seeing something about a very similar planet to earth about 300 million light years away which is likely to have other life forms as inhabitants.
Scary to think about really

That must've been ages ago that I heard that!
They found so many more man wow that's awesome :D
Yeah it's pretty sick
Just remember that they can't actually directly image these planets yet, so the pictures are artists renditions.
In the coming decades they'll be able to see if there is life on them though xP

You think it's scary? Honestly, I think it'd be scary if earth was the only planet with life on it in the entire universe.

Honestly, I grew up in a house where God & religion was above all things.
"Who can really know how the universe was created", is what I ask myself when debating whether or not I truly have my beliefs. I do believe in "miracles" & "ghosts" to some extent.

Aside from religion, I've had those moments when I really thought that "supernatural" things had occurred. For example, when someone had died (someone very close to me), I thought I saw his ghost climbing out of the coffin. I later saw them just walking in the street, waving at me.
Another time, when I was feeling a bit depressed, I saw a man whose face I'd never seen before (or at least I didn't remember) in a dream who was trying to cheer me up. Later, I was looking at old photos with my family and the face of the man turned out to be my late grandfather's, who died before my parents were even married.

There is a supernatural force.

The universe is too grand and harmonious for it to be a coincidence.

That supernatural force, is time.

We have a primitive understanding of time. However we do have mathematical formulas that describe it, so it isn't exactly supernatural.
