Hey,

this is to all you out there that are coming up with fantastic ideas to make the server BETTER! but the staff over here likes to do there own ting and not listen to the members of the server! they sit back and do as they please and its really starting to piss me off. they don't listen to anyone! why don't you listen to the people OF YOUR SERVER and listen to what they want and what WILL make the server better, but it seams like you don't want to improve jack squat! there are so many hackers! it seems like you don't even ban them! get some staff of the damn CA server so they can be banned for penguins... lots and lots of penguins sake! FIX THIS DAMN SERVER !! all the community is asking for! it ha good plugins but Good community and staff that doesn't listen! so fix it! if you can.... or the server will one day fall and there will be nothing left

The staff has lately taken lots of input from the community and put that to good use, such as the new honesty system for abuse reports, the legacy leaderboards including both old and new wins, and there is even a whole github for bugs to report that the development team uses to get input from the players on what they need to fix.

There are too many hackers on the servers for mods to ban each and every one right at the very moment you want them to. Every day more players begin to hack, so we have to stay on our toes. It used to be a 2-offense system, when the first offense for hacking was a week ban, but now that the new perm-ban rule for hackers, you will notice the amount of hackers gradually decrease, because I have noticed it already.

Sigh. Another sigh.. Followed by a facepalm.. And the sinking feeling in your gut knowing you're going to have to type another long response to yet another angry person who ranted at us with no actual information to back himself up.

Okay. I admit, I didn't read your whole thread. Why? Because it's like all the others we get, telling us how we're either corrupt, lazy, stupid, or all three.

We don't listen to the community? Alright, give me one example. You might retort with all of that junk about solo servers. We made it clear that we will not be segregating our SG gamemode, yet you people continued to make these threads. That wasn't US not listening to YOU, that was YOU not listening to US.

Your claims?

"There are so many hackers"
There are hackers literally everywhere in Minecraft, our server is no different. If we make some end-of-all-ends anticheat, it'll just force people to use more discreet ways of cheating.

"It seems like you never ban hackers"
Well. If you look on our AntiCheat panel, Xime, you will see that 618 bans have been issued over the last 24 hours. Yep, we're doing NOTHING!

So you curse at us, yell at us, and act disrespectfully and then expect us to just magically flip a switch and solve all problems on our network? Come on, nobody can be that naive.

We do our very best, and that's better than most Minecraft Networks out there. Be grateful our admins don't go around banning people because they felt slightly offended by them, as happens on some other popular networks. Be grateful our staff team is helpful and always there for the community no matter how harsh it is to them.

I'm sick and tired (literally IRL) so I'm off to bed.

Just a little tip - if you'd like the higher-ups to take you seriously, take the time to go over what you've written and clean up spelling/grammar mistakes.

Also, as previously mentioned, there's simply far too many players and far too few moderators to keep the server absolutely perfect.

Yeah man, being a staff member is like a job. It's hard work and dedication for some people who aren't even grateful. They can't go around and ban every single hacker. You can help them out by reporting them when you see them. Otherwise, step off.

It's true, the MCGamer staff is imperfect. They make mistakes, they can't be everywhere, and sometimes it feels like the dev staff takes a year and a day to fix issues (sometimes literally).

That said, MCGamer is a huge community. It has incredibly complex code, a massive playerbase, one of the most popular and long lasting gamemodes ever, and a staff that's no more than 300. The hacker problem is slowly being dealt with due to a series of new innovations (/report, permabanning first offence, potentially incentivizing reports etc). The dev staff works hard to deal with a massive server. Short of developing something similar to Badlion anticheat, this is the most effective way of dealing with hackers.

You could argue that the staff isn't working hard enough, but the fact is the staff is made up of volunteers, all of which have lives outside of MCGamer. You could say they need to hire more staff, but the selectiveness of the hiring process helps the staff stay effective and streamlined, and also makes sure those who would abuse their power never get the chance to.

And finally, people like you are the reason staff doesn't want to listen to people. You came on the forums and posted an incoherent, angry rant without actually discussing any facts or potential solutions. I'm not even sure why I'm wasting my time writing this reply.

The staff do listen, but there are only 150 people on the staff team. Also if you want to submit ideas, make threads about it, and your idea will be considered.

We try our absolute best to listen to the community whenever we can, but sometimes, even though a suggestion might be awesome, and the community might love it and we might just as well love the suggestion, it just may not be possible for us to implement for several different reasons. Maybe it's not a thing we are able to develop at the time, or something that may not ultimately work with our servers- it really varies, but trust me in one thing- we absolutely do care about what you guys think, and when popular, awesome suggestions aren't implemented, it isn't because we don't care, it's because we aren't able too.

The hacker situation is ultimately out of our control. We are doing absolutely everything in our power to help with removing hackers, but it's impossible for us to just snap our fingers and suddenly remove all the hackers from our servers and stop new ones from coming back. Catching hackers is one of the main duties of moderators and we have clean sweeps in progress in several different regions to help lower the amount of hackers. The report abuse section has been a massive help (thank you to all of you who might be reading this who frequently report rule breakers there), but unfortunately, often the progress we make is simply pushed away by incoming hackers. It's a really annoying cycle that is extremely hard to break.

Overall, the staff team really cares about the community. We might not be able to implement every suggestion, but trust me when I say they are all taken into account. The hacker issue is one that is impossible for us to simply stop altogether, but we are working our absolute hardest to try and limit it as much as possible :)
