Hello all.
I've gone a bit quiet again recently, it's just hard to stay motivated to post with school and just being tired all of the time (I presume many others know what I mean by this endless tiredness).
But today I'm going to be discussing something which has recently picked up speed here on the forums. Ships. I don't mean we've merged with the international ship enthusiasts forum, I mean like relationships.
For those that have been living under a rock, a ship is a pairing of two people who people think should be/or are in a relationship, and also have a name based of the pairs names merged. You may have seen many around on many threads and seem to be all the craze at the moment.
In idea, these are all meant to be a bit of fun, and in most cases, they are. But it is important to remember that "shipping" can make people uncomfortable, especially when taken too far. Imagine you know someone who is your friend and people see you talk a lot, on TeamSpeak, for example. Then a ship pops up about you and this friend, where there is frankly no relationship and you want to just stay friends. For some people, this could make them very uncomfortable, and even on an online relationship it often goes too far and can even damage friendships. For example, I have a friend in my class who is also called Robert (my name is Robert for those who do not know). A group started a ship between me and him just called "Robert". I found it funny at first cause of the name, but after awhile it became uncomfortable and frankly I'd rather it went away. It did eventually, but if something like that was taken too far, then all sorts could of went wrong.
Am I suggesting that all ships are bad? Of course not. I just think it's an important point to bring up, and I'd also like to know what the community thinks of this.
So if you're "docking your ship" into the "port of MCG", make sure your ship isn't on fire, or your captain doesn't want to jump overboard and it crashes into the dock!
