I keep seeing threads pop up with random people ranting about how "bad" MCSG is.
Examples of this are "OMG THE TEAMERS MCSG SUX OMGOMGOMG!!11"
or.. "STUPID M0D3RAT0RS U SUX CANT BNA DA HAKRS?!11"
Today we're going to have a little look at reality and why you shouldn't complain or be mad over practically nothing...
This is MCSG (where all your problems happen)
This is you
This is your room
This is your house
or maybe this is your house
or maybe this
This is your neighborhood
This is your town
This is your state or region
This is your country
This is your continent
This is Earth.
Everything you've ever known, or everyone you will ever meet is on that 7,918 mile ball.
Let's take another look shall we?
There's a picture of it from just beyond Saturn.
Feeling small? Good, Because things are going to get much much larger.
That is our solar system, 4 light years across.
To give you a sense of how big that is let's think for a second.
Light can travel around earth 7 times in one second.
A light year is how long it can travel in a year
Multiply that by four
23 trillion miles or 23513999300000 miles
That's where we are.
Zooming out some more...
That is our galaxy, likely containing hundreds of civilizations and over a hundred billion stars. Everything we will likely be able to do as a species will be inside this 100,000 light year across disk.
Zooming out 100 times more and you get to this- the local group. The distances are impossibly large here, 11 million light years in diameter.
100 times again brings you to this. 110 million light years across.
That is Laniakea, 520 million light years across. That little red dot is everything we've gone over so far.
The observable universe is over 200 times that length at 93 billion light years in diameter.
-Beyond this point it is theoretical-
The actual universe is estimated to be 250 times of the original, 23 trillion light years.
According to string theory the universe is actually just a 4 dimensional "brane" floating in an 12 dimensional space known as "the bulk".
Expanding on this idea.
The universe is a 3 dimensional holographic projection of a two dimensional sheet with two different "bits", similar to a computer. This 2 dimensional sheet is like the jam on a piece of bread. The "bread" itself is a 7 dimensional brane floating in a 12 dimensional space. The brane contains all possibilities possible in that certain universe.
Yeah so. Stop complaining.
I'd like to add this video here as well.
