if they lowered it to 13 the applications would flood in....
Doubtful. And there's already a process that allows people who are a year under the age limit to apply. If they haven't recognized that by now then they haven't really invested time into the forums, which means they probably shouldn't be a Moderator anyways.

There are a few mature 13 year old's, but the majority of them are too immature to be trusted with the mod rank. It would be really easy for someone to abuse their powers, that is why there is an age limit. If there is a 13 year old who is very mature and wishes to apply, they can apply for an age acceptation.

Me, as a thirteen year old, I would say no about lowering the age under 13. I know thirteen year olds the same exact age as me, but their maturity does not even compare to mine. The current process for Age Exception is perfect for those that want to go out of their way to become a staff member, and show a lot of maturity.

What cracks me up is that people want to age limit to be lowered, when its already 4 years below what MCSG started with and wants. 18 years old.

Couldn't agree more! Even at 14, I can still agree that there is some people my age who are too immature to be able to handle the position of Moderator, but them people are a small minority thankfully.

I've actually read every single one of these comments so far and I'd have to agree with the majority of them. I think the rate that we are hiring mods at the time could definitely be improved, however, it should not be achieved by lowering our expectations. I personally think the age is perfect at where it is and the process for age exceptions at age 13 really helps those that are mature enough stand out.

In regards to admins, I would say that there is a need for more. Someone wrote that admins "don't really have more power than moderators" or something along those lines. Admins are the backbone of all the decision making that occurs within the MCGamer staff team. If an admin is not able to oversee a decision or an event, that decision or event is not happening. Although our current administrative team is AMAZING (can't emphasize that enough), I believe they could definitely use a few extra numbers just to help get more things done. There's only so much that four people can handle in a community of over 3 million.

The issue with hiring more developers is a much more complicated one. However, I do believe there is a need for more developers. With the push of MCGamer v2 and the drop of support for Minecraft 1.7, there seems to be an increase in demand from our devs to fix bugs and glitches. While they're busy doing that, there is really no time to dedicate towards improving stability and gameplay. In my opinion, the situation with developers is very similar to the admins: there's only so much they can handle.
