WWII Based (I hope to start a series of WWII maps), 3 man building team, medium sized map, many traps, easter eggs, etc. Here's Sneak Peek #1 :

More screenshots/videos will be coming soon as the map continues to grow! Thank you!

Yello. Unfortunetly, I have a fair bit of criticism to give and scarce praise.
First of all, the map is pre loaded! This is a huge no no in map making as
(A) It shows very little effort has been put in and
(B) It makes for awful gameplay, as there is no actul development of how the game is played.

You could say that you created a single played world with a few houses, no?
I mean, I can see that you did put some work in, perhaps your just very inexperienced or you wanted that style but, compared to all the other maps your map lacks;
The core features essential in a good hunger games map
Detail
A theme (I know you said WW1 but really, if you hadnt told me I would never have guessed.
I just can't get over the fact that it is also multi biome (the result of a pre loaded world)
Lastly, I strongly suggest making a terraformed world, as a player may stumble upon a huge cave system, mid game.

All that being said, I appreciate the redstone work put in and I also think that if the houses were built with more "style" you could pass it off as a map. I can't see this map on MCSG (Just yet, I know it's a preview) but, with a lot more work, you might just be able to make it.

Sorry If I sound like a Inappropriate body part on a male but I'm just stating my honest opinion.

Best of luck,
Gaga

Um, I put a ton of effort into this so far. I've worked on this for 2 hours total! It isn't ready for submission. Hence the "Maps in progress" forum area. Geez, and they aren't houses, they're bunkers...that's what bunkers look like.

I'm not saying you didnt do anything, but I'm just saying it needs more detail. It may seem harsh, but I cant respond with complete lies.

I did say, with more effort this map COULD make it, but I think it has a long way to go.

I know it has a long way to go, you can't half ass a map and be done in an hour and submit, especially since this is the first thing I've ever tried to design other than a house in single player, I appreciate the criticism, but obviously I have no clue how to make a map that isn't "pre-loaded" I made a single player world, found a desert biome and started to set up, I plan on keeping it in the desert biome, blocking off the jungle entirely. What are you supposed to do? Flat land it? Because that gives you 2 layers then bed rock slaps you in the face? Constructive criticism is more appreciated (AKA Giving tips as you criticize.)

Sorry about that, I assumed you knew.
You can either world edit on a flat world or use world painter, which is a brilliant little tool which allows for quick and accurate worlds

Hopefully that helps,
Gaga
