optifine! But how will I continue my YT series? fps is ruined.
1.8 has a click speed limit thing kind of like csgo. It doesn't register all of your clicks; I don't know if this is a bug or not. Also, seeing as how my click speed is a big part of my pvp kinda means this update will ruin me lolProbably because you didn't click. There is no known bug wich has anything to do with attacking
Are you sure about that? I'm not able to find any confirmation about that1.8 has a click speed limit thing kind of like csgo. Yuck BubbleTeaPrepare yourself, here comes all the 1.8 comments..
yeah not a fan of 1.8 honestly.. but eh. I didn't like 1.7 either when it first came out. We just gotta get used to it.
This does NOT level out the playing field AT ALL! 1.8 has more cons then it has pros, And for a general comouter or for laptop players (becaude theres a Good ton in this community) we can get a decent 60-80 fps with optifine maybe, And when we switch to 1.8 we drop to 20_45 because theres too much things on 1.8 that our comouters and laptops don't really handle 1.8 well.Hello tributes,
It’s been a while since we’ve posted any sort of updates on the latest MCGamer happenings, so here’s a post to describe some of what we’ve been working on lately.
Global Leaderboards Update
Over the past 2 months, we’ve extremely increased MCGamer v2’s stability and extremely reduced the number of bugs. This has allowed us to turn our focus towards the leaderboard update. While there is no estimated release date as of yet, we’d like to let you know that the update is now priority numero uno in our books, and we’ll release more information (including exact dates and times) as we get closer to release.
Minecraft 1.7 End of Support: January 29, 2015
On January 29, we will be dropping support for 1.7 clients from our servers and going full 1.8. Not only will this benefit all of you by leveling out the playing field (as we know that there’s some pretty significant PVP differences between the two versions), it’ll also allow us to massively improve our support for Minecraft 1.8 so that 1.8 clients are more stable on our network and can fully utilize some of 1.8’s new features. This is because right now, along with many other networks, we are still internally running our servers on 1.7 with added support for 1.8, meaning that we get (almost) no new 1.8 features and 1.8 clients may be slightly less stable than they can be. On January 29, we plan to upgrade our servers internally to 1.8, dropping support for 1.7 in the process.
Fun fact: by far, 1.7 was the longest supported version on our servers, clocking in at about 15 months as of January 29. Not only is this because the time gap between 1.7’s release and 1.8’s release was one of the longest in Minecraft history, but also because our 1.7/1.8 dual version software has been, by far, the most stable dual version patch we’ve ever used (shout-out to the whole Spigot team for being awesome!).
Localization and Internationalization – two long words with a lot of meaning!
Some time ago, we announced that we were adding support for multiple languages to our system. Ultimately, although the project made some progress, it was put on the backburner for a long time, partially because of other priorities that came up, and partially due to the lack of translators and difficulty to translate.
We’re happy to announce that the MCGamer Translation Project is alive once again! We’ve been making plenty of improvements to the internal workings of our system to make our plugin even easier to translate. Over the course of the next few months, we’ll start seeking out people from the community and the staff willing to invest their time (and knowledge of another language) into translating our core plugin and all of our games into different languages to make it easier for people who don’t know too much English to be able to play on our network. We do have a few specific "core languages" we'd like to target first, and this information will be announced over the next few months.
Thanks once again for flying MCGamer!
Think about the lag m9 xDNow I think about, when 1.7 PvP came out I thought it was crap. But in the end I've got use to it and really enjoy it. So I guess we're just gonna have to get use to 1.8
I don't see this option, After entering video settings is it straight there or in another section via optifine xDJust gonna let you all know of a little trick to get better framerate on 1.8.
Go to Video Settings
Turn "Use VBO's" on. Your graphics card may not support it.
You should get higher framerate than before. I know I do.
Not once the update is forced -_-At least we can still pvp in 1.7 then right?
It's mainly the fps thing though, 1.8.1 is still unstable via FPS, Espicially for general computers and laptop users, there frames drop massively ;-;1.8 isnt as bad as people think. 1.8.1 came out recently, and if not you still have 1.8.0. + optifine + You can allocate more memory to minecraft. I mean I dislike some maps on the server. Do I leave when they get voted? No, I play through it. Play through the early versions of 1.8. 1.7.9 is the MOST unstable build i've ever had to play with, People complained then. People complained with 1.6, 1.5. Time to stop complaining and start doing
