I wouldn't get mod if I posted a 10,000 word app which I can do but AINT NOBODY GOT TIME FOR DAT. (Jokes)
Why because I believe MCSG isn't heading the right way and I will say something wrong and they will ban me. Also I like to keep my own opinion and I can't be hushed up saying say only nice things. If I say cscoop should be unbanned becuase the rule is stupid I will get banned also I have so many bans and so many mutes. Also I think my freindship with the ex-admins is any good.

they care too much about length of an app
Agreed. They think quantity over quality.
No, you can have an EXTREMELY long application, and still get denied.

The reason some Sr. Staff say "You should have a long application..." is to help you include enough detail. You can't just write stories in your application and expect to get accepted.

I play CA and there are exactly 0 active mods.
It might be true that there are less Moderators on CA than US, although it's because there's not as many issues there, and I go on every day, and I find that there are a lack of Moderation duties to attend, I'm not saying there are none, but a lot less than no US.

I hope mcgamer gets less picky with the staff applications.
We're often told how bad we are, and how we're not doing our jobs correctly, lowering the standard of the staff applications would result in worse quality moderators, and more complaint

but...

I'm not saying you're completely wrong, there has been a lot of staff members resigning lately. Although a lot more have been accepted, same with the Sr. Staff.

Sorry but I have to disagree with you. You say that a lot of new Moderators have been accepted. What about EU? Theres only 11 active EU moderators, 1 Sr. moderator and 1 Admin. And you wonder why the EU Network is getting so much stick.

I actually considered that once, but if they did an IP check and found out it was me, I'd prob get banned lol.
Ya. I'm not saying do it. Just, there might be other reasons to why they won't accept you.

Rida, I've seen you doing staff duties on different servers, and as well not being active cause of personal reasons (resigning on a different server to continue to moderate MCGamer and also to wait out/resolving personal issues, don't worry I don't exactly know how you deal with them and or what goes on.) Getting to my point, overall, I've seen that the MCGamer do so much more behind the scenes then you would have expected.

Being in the waiting room for just one week I have gotten to experience the most amazing moderators that have all pros and cons of working at their position. Mostly listening to the communication between moderators and how they deal with any type of rule breaker. As seen, everything little can get so big unexpectedly, and the moderators here handle most issues indifferently is what inspires me to go after this position and work at it for a very long point.

Also, many points here I highly disagree with. When going through my application process I was declined 5 times each with reasons I completely understand, all it takes is time and dedication to go through this process.

I mean, there isn't really much we can do to help the "lack of mods." That is up to the community to apply. Also, you must look at the bright side: There are a lot of new moderators joining the staff team as well as many waiting ranks :)

That's very untrue. I know mods who have had very short apps, and mods like me who have had very lengthy apps. It's not length it's detail and if you're application is incredibly short, you can't add the detail that is required to prove your worth as a staff member. Plus it needs to show effort and if an application is not detailed and short it will show that the person doesn't care as much about being a staff member.

I do understand your problem with CA to some extent. I play CA just as much as I do US, if not more because of my lower latency, however with the amount of hackers I've run into on CA compared to the much more significant amount of hackers that there are on US and EU, it makes sense. I'm not saying there are no hackers on CA, but running into a hacker is much more common on US (I know this for a fact, I play CA quite often.) The main reason that not as many mods come into CA is because it doesn't have a hub that is in need of much moderating (in fact I hardly see anything ever said in the CA hub and rarely anything inappropriate or worthy of punishment). Do I think that we could benefit from a couple more mods that dedicated more time to moderating this region? Yes. And I take it upon myself to do much of this moderating along with some friends of mine who will pop on occasionally.

Now to start off I have seen a great number of mods and sr.mods resign. I don't know why.
The reasons these moderators have resigned can be found in all of their resignation letters. Almost every single one of them stated that they will be resigning because they have to take care of IRL first. This is because many staff members get caught up in making the best attempts that they can in doing their job that they may neglect IRL duties which come first. Therefore they realized this and made attempts to fix it. It is almost like they're resigning because they were doing their job so well that they had to take a break to put effort into other activities that rank higher than being a moderator. Being a mod is hard work, and most people don't understand that until they are actually put into that role. I myself didn't expect it to be so challenging myself but I still love it, we all do which is why we're still here. Would we benefit from hiring more mods? Well, we sure are keeping up just fine if I do say so myself and we're hiring quality mods just about as fast as we can before reducing the quality of the staff team.

The basic question goes down to this. Do we want a lesser amount of good moderators who are willing to do their job, or do we want a ton of moderators who really don't care and only want a red name? I can tell you right now that the latter option does not work well for the major networks who have gone down that path.

Honestly.. there was what? like 4-5 that quit total? I remember sometime in the middle of last year.. there was like 15ish that quit all at the same time. That is a lot, this really isn't anything to be concerned with lol.

Moderators... the first line of defense against rule breakers and most importantly, hackers. It is exceedingly unfortunate when a Moderator resigns, especially a well known one like MoLoToV or Avaline . But alas, it is great that hundreds of Moderator Applications flood in a day, one of them being myself who applied about 3 days ago. So do not fear about these stupid hackers and their mischievous ways.

If you have any further questions about this, feel free to PM me or a Moderator.

P.S. I am a CA mod so if you ever need assistance with anything hit me with an in-game or forum message and I will be haste in satisfying your expectation of my qualities as a staff member.
Not 2 be rude but I play like 5-10 games a day (on ca servers) and have only seen you around like 5 times. How are you a ca mod lmfao
