Oh haha, I'm flattered :3

Here's a few purely hypothetical (and hopefully funny) words on what I'd do as a Co-Owner:

*walks up to the podium*

Ladies, gentlemen, animals and potatoes of all sorts...

Today, I would like to present to you a series of reforms and changes that I hope you will enjoy. For some time, I've been looking into ways to improve the average player's experience on the MCGamer network. Whether that be more donor perks for the wonderful folks who have been kind enough to support our servers, or the average Steve who is starting out and confused on how to join a game of SG.

Throughout MCGamer's history, people have been enjoying the Survival Games, and more recently a number of other gamemodes. However, it has been brought to our attention on multiple occasions, both within the staff team and from players, that they feel we are focusing too narrowly on the Survival Games gamemode, and have been neglecting to even maintain other, less popular gamemodes such as Survival Games: Classic.

Therefore, I have drawn up plans to maintain and update the other gamemodes. I've gathered a brief list of issues and popularly requested features that we hope to implement in order to improve your gaming experience. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Fixing various minor bugs on Survival Games: Classic that have been disturbing players.
  • Updating the Survival Games: Classic plugin in order to implement all of the originally intended features.
  • Implementing the much-requested and long-awaited Clan Battle servers.
  • Resolving issues concerning the /friend, /party, /join, /hub, and /watch commands that have been disrupting player experiences on the MCGamer Network.
  • Cooperating with other Minecraft server networks in order to bring a more fun and creative environment to not only players on MCGamer, but also across the entire Minecraft universe.
  • Optimizing the Sponsoring system in order to encourage useful, but not over-powered, items that can be available to players.
  • Altering the Disguise system in order to make disguised names more realistic and effective.
  • Rebooting the Survival Server that many people enjoyed, with a more friendly and fun environment. Towny, anyone?
  • Motivating TeamSpeak users to put forth effort to create a more friendly, fun TeamSpeak environment.
  • Small improvements to the already fun Creative Server, in order to improve player experiences.
  • Crowning Mufasa as the true overlord and king of the MCGamer Network (Don't tell Chad!)
  • Finding a solution to what players consider the flood of teams.
  • Further encouraging players through regular in-chat announcements to record and report rule-breakers and hackers!
  • Discouraging rude, negative players and making an effort to cultivate a more friendly in-game community.
  • Promoting the swift and effective punishment of rule-breakers, while also keeping a way for unfairly punished players to return to the beloved network.
  • Creating a closer-knit community through livestreams and community events that anyone can tune into or join.
  • Further working with clans in order to bring a fun yet competitive environment where everyone can compete.
And many more! I encourage players to come forth with constructive ideas and suggestions that they would like us to consider!

With your help, MCGamer can become a true creative and friendly environment with fun gamemodes and an awesome community.

May the odds be ever in your favor!

So yeah. Remember, this is all purely hypothetical. Many of the things listed up there aren't particularly easy to implement, but everything counts.

Part of the mentality of the community is that they often don't see the staff members putting forth effort, because so much of the work is behind-the-scenes. Even when they catch hackers, they're often disguised or hidden from public view.

A large part of working towards a more supportive community is transparency. I noticed that the MCGamer staff team has started to particularly strive towards a very open and transparent staff team, and it's really awesome to see this. For example, EU Cleansweep! They're posting statistics of their results, and giving credit to people who help, as well as further encouraging players to help out where they can. Also, community events such as Open Mic Night are absolutely awesome for bringing the community closer together, including the staff!

By the way, if Chad or someone sees this and wants to take a few of the things I listed up there... go ahead! :p Most of them aren't original ideas, anyways, I just made them sound fancy.
And fixing EU, do that too :p

Made me literally "lol". :D

I'm a little surprised you didn't address the "eZ" and "rekt" situation though....

I will sell my house not going to list the price and buy over MCGamer ($300,000 guessing that is the cost of MCGamer) and you will become the owner and I will give you the rest of the money to manage it but I will earn the profits. JK

Although Mooclan is a wonderful community member, and is extremely convincing, I think Chad is doing a excellent job as owner. On the other hand, I do know that all of your concerns aren't seen or resolved; however, we do want you to voice your opinion (in a respectful, flameless way). If you ever have suggestions or concerns on ANYTHING, please do not hesitate to PM me or another staff member. In the last week, I have received a couple suggestions and concerns in my inbox, and some of these ideas have been presented to the rest of the staff team. If you think you have a good idea, please please please contact us. Regarding bugs that people want fixed: If you want a bug fixed, please make a bug report. The developers are working to resolve these issues. To report a bug, please go here. As you can see, there are 75 issues open, and over 400 that have already been resolved.

I am glad you mentioned the EU Cleansweep, Mooclan, because I want to remind everyone that this operation will be strengthened in the weeks to come. We are aware of hackers and abusers. While we know that people break rules, we cannot catch everyone. Please, if you are being abused or hacked against, report it. These report abuses are not only helpful in getting rid of hackers, but they make the server a better place. Reports can be submitted here: http://report.mcgamer.info.

Finally, let me address some of the concerns listed in your list:
  • I don't know about clan battle servers, but it is something that a lot of people have requested. This is something that I would be willing to bring up to the rest of the clan moderation team.
  • The parties, spectating, and friends system is being improved almost daily. As bug reports come in, they are fixed in a timely manner, and are looked into further so that we can optimize your gameplay.
  • The disguise system is being worked on, and it will hopefully see many improvements in the months to come.
  • I never got to enjoy the survival server, but it is something I would like to see. I know a factions server isn't practical, since it will only cause flame, but there are probably some solutions that can be looked into.
  • Although I see your point with TeamSpeak, it's unresolvable. There are always going to be trolls, rulebreakers, and just general issues that we cannot solve at once.
  • The creative server is currently undergoing changes, but I cannot tell you much more than that.
  • Although teams are disliked, they are inevitable. I think that having half of the servers for teams and half for no teaming would be beneficial, but we would need a lot of community members on board for this.
  • I do support a better chat system, and a better way to make people informed of the rules.
  • We already discourage negativity and abuse in the community, and we punish those who break our rules. At this point, I do not know how much more we can do.
  • Our banning and muting system already works fairly well, and I don't think that it can be improved much more than it was with v2.
  • We do want to community to come closer together. This is why we are continuing to create and improve our community events. If you have any ideas for a community event, please contact staff as I explained earlier.
  • Finally, we currently have a team of 20 moderators, including myself, who are working with clans to meet their wants reasonably.
Okay, I am done. Hope this cleared up some questions and/or concerns.
