So I felt like expressing my opinion on the hole v2 talk since I felt like an outcast xD

Seriously though, here are some of the things I don't like about V2...
  • Spam
  • Threads bashing the update
  • People complaining
Honestly, I don't understand why some people just don't look forward, always picking out the negatives, saying Chad this Devs that. Don't even get me started on the lobby chat xD I feel like I'm drowning when people chat!

The amount of work Chad, Devs and Sr mods put into planning and releasing this update TO MAKE OTHERS HAPPY AND THEN AFTER GET CRITICIZED AFTERWARDS is RIIIIDDIICCULOUUUSSS!

My heart goes out to the people who made this happen, who are now having to slow down the process of the release to deal with the ungrateful, pathetic immature people who don't know how hard this is... Does anyone agree with me?

You put yahoo answers as your source? Like wtf
Lol, I can agree with that. But, metaphors are rather subjective when it comes to meaning. So its more of people's opinions, but as you can see the general response was the same.

I agree about everything you said but doesn't mean they worked hard on something doesn't mean it can't be criticized badly. They have their own opinions and you have your opinions, they can do whatever they want. I would just ignore them . Pathetic but yet its life.
I would have to agree with you, we, as human beings do have our own variety of different opinions. It's freedom of speech, however if it is just people blatantly yelling, spamming, and swearing in-game and breaking chat rules over it is not the right way to go, and people who continuously bash on the staff members without mature, constructive criticism is not the right way to go. It's difficult to ignore these people who try to bring down, and slow the staff down.
I would believe that it is vital to take action against those who think it is alright to break the rules just because of change, to which they most probably will get used to the next day. Considering this, the staff team have worked darn hard towards doing the best for the community, at no point whatsoever do they deserve to be discriminated against for trying to do their job. But either way, it is merely my opinion. :)

Anyways, I would have to completely agree with the thread maker, people who simply bash on staff for this do not belong in the network if they are to simply harass other members or the staff. And as said, if you don't like it, leave.
What perplexes me is the fact that those people have the audacity to simply sit around all day in the server, just spamming and hating on the improvements, they do not even consider going out or just simply leaving the network, what on Earth is stopping them from leaving?

It is a selfish, and inconsiderate act knowing that people would actually stay in the server and bash on other people who have worked hard for them, this is why I would consider taking action against them. But, if they do have constructive criticism to provide, and suggestions to make, they should be encouraged to state them in the forums, and not to blatantly call the staff out and breaking rules over it.

I 100% agree with you on this, the treads bashing the staff and other people is ridiculous after all the work the staff has put into this update and this is what they get? Bashing and hatefulness? And yes yes I totally get the chat, man, it does feel like drowning, and the words people are saying is just plain mean:(

Have you looked at the statistics!! MCSG has taken a huge hit. The majority don't like it. The change was to drastic, not even I like it.
Maybe if they eased us into it, and actually valued our opinions they could do well LOL
The reason why people didn't like it was because there were so many bugs, over time those bugs/lag spikes will go away remember.

I totally agree. Col_StaR said he'd worked for 9 consecutive hours on V2. It's stupid that people have to hate on something that Chad and all the others have worked so hard on. If you don't like it, leave!
Over the past 7 days, I have logged over 37 hours working on v2, and 25 over the past 3-4 days alone.

We already fixed many of the bugs last night, and many more bug fixes are to come tonight and throughout the weekend.

"Nobody can play v2 now"
If 1500 people is your definition of "nobody", then sure.

As I said, we do realize that there are issues, and issues are to be expected with this large of a release. The issue is simply that no matter how much you test, something will always go wrong when you put a large update in production, and that's just a general rule of development in general - take EA's SimCity launch last year, for example. The best we can do is work on fixing the issues in a timely matter.

We've had all of this planned for months now. You were "eased" into it with plenty of warning and discussion.

Nobody likes change at first, but once you adjust I can assure you it'll be better than before, everything is.
