Should Mods Consider The Factors Before Banning Players?

I got banned too, for using 'aimbot'. Dude what the actuall bunnies? I am #165 in the whole world. Why the bunnies would i hack?! That's just the logic of Senior Moderator. Yea S.MOD. He banned me because i got a combo wombo.

EDIT: He was stuck on ladders while i was getting the combo, that makes it easier

We try our best to make fair decisions. Luckily for you, there is a Ban Dispute section where you can get your ban revoked if it was in face an "unfair" ban. I suggest you look into that

As soon as I got banned I posted a ban dispute in the forum, as I never did what the accusation said about me. I got unbanned 1 day after my dispute.

Our jobs as Moderators are to punish players and keep the community safe and free from rule-breakers. If we see a report, we review the evidence and therefore decide on whether or not to deal with the player accordingly. We do not however punish a player based on our gut decision. If we feel like the evidence isn't clear enough to come to a conclusion- we ask another member of the staff. If they do not come to a decision, we ask another staff member. I don't know why people perceive us a superior player that doesn't care if the we are punishing get's banned. We do. We care a lot and hope that one day this server will in fact have a minimal amount of rule-breakers.

Luckily for most punished players, there is a disputing system in place. If you feel you were banned incorrectly, use it!

Not really, people can post their opinions, it's a thread that revolves around discussion. What would make it a flame war waiting to happen' is if he said something along the lines of; "I was banned incorrectly and the mods do nothing but assume someone is hacking! This is outrageous, please train your staff to consider all factors before banning someone. This is so stupid"

Therefore this is in no way a flame war waiting to happen, he is asking a question to spark discussion. Which is perfectly fine.

Yes I get that but some person is going to be like "Your all stupid! Mods suck" and then the flame ignites. So far no one has done that though

Just saying, Thats a really bad reason for you not to hack...I know plenty of players higher up than you (or me) that have hacked from just getting really mad. But yes, I also do agree with you with how they ban many players that are just very good.

Personally, I think mods should go through one more step, just looking through vids of people that hack, and people that dont. Then They would have to just say which were, and were not hacking. I also think they should check the person`s stats at least once, and if they have semi-decent stats, maybe just give the evidence a second glance.
