Hey all,
Sorry for double posting but I got some news about the map,

First, I would like to give a shoutout to MCGamerzism ;) who rescently started a new series named "MCGamer's next top maps" on his youtube channel. In episode 2, he showcased my map which is something I wanted to share with you guys. Thanks for the nice review!
Second, I got a message from the repair shop ( the guys that are fixing my desktop right now) that they can send my PC back in about a week. This means that I will be able to continue updating/improving the map, which I am very happy about. ;)

Cya!

Map looks really nice, buildings look great as well.

My only problem, which I say in all the maps I see like this one, is that there is ALOT of buildings. They may look great, they might all fit in the map, but I see countless people complain about maps that have tons of buildings to explore.

Example would be sg2. No one likes exploring those huge skyscrapers xD. Seems like maps like that don't get too popular in mcsg. Granted, you're buildings aren't nearly as tall as those buildings, so it might not be as bad.

First impressions are what gets a person to like or dislike a map honestly. Huge maps are typically hated right away and don't last in mcsg. Question is, WHY? I think the reason is because of how much they explore, and how little they find as far as T2 chests. When you explore a map endlessly for chests, and find very little, it discourages you from wanting to play the map. Same goes with maps that are just filled with a ton of buildings, when you go thru like 10 buildings and find like no good chests, you normally hate the map right away.

Now this has a lot to do with more of, who places the chests than the buildings themselves. Just map exploring these buildings worth the time it takes to explore them.

I know this map is big, there is little to nothing I can do about that. But basicly what you are saying is that if chests are spread out well on a big map, then the size of the map wont be as big as a problem, am I correct? I think the chests are spread out good enough to fit the standards for this. My question is: do you think the chests are spread out enough so that every section will be worth exploring? I think they are, but again I am not nearly as experienced as most people on MCSG when it comes to PvP.
thanks for your comment. Comments like these are the best because the help improve the map.

yeah thats my question :p. I hate searching around maps endlessly for crappy chests :O. It's like all the huge maps in mcsg, they never make it on 24 man servers because you search endlessly for chests. The more t2's, the better when it comes to maps of this size.

There are currently 52 tier 2s on this map. While MCSG recommends 30 for 24 maps & 40 for 48 maps, I have chosen to go far beyond the recommendations. More or less because it is a big map, but also because I like maps with lots of tier 2s on them. Does 52 sound alright? I think they are spread out well across the map. But what do you think of this amount?

Well, first off, I love the map. The idea is just amazing. I've always like interesting maps with two parts such as this, because it changes gameplay. As for the size, I didn't think it was that big: 200 radius. I mean technically, that's the minimum and you can't go below that. Even if there is an underground, I don't think the size is that much of a problem. In my opinion, 50+ t2's, especially for a 24-player game is a bit too much. As for buildings, in what Reven said, I don't think that will be much of a problem because the interiors in sg2 have a lack of chests and design and they practically reach the sky. This map should surely get accepted. Good luck!

So you suggest to remove some tier 2's? The 52 tier 2's include the 8 at both corns, so outside of corn there are only 44 chests.
This is a tough topic because some people say 52 is perfect, while others say its to much.
As always, thanks for the comment!
