There were screenshots circulating a long time ago showing several instances in which he abused his commands (global chat, I think it's /say or gamemaster mode.) in order to call out and insult a team of players who had killed him, on Teweran Survival Games 1.



I don't know the exact number of Moderators that MCGamer has, but a few weeks ago I heard a number thrown around by a staff member: 200.
200 Moderators. The senior staff are constantly interviewing and reading the applications of potential staff members.

I have over 2,000 games played, and the vast majority of them come from over 1 year ago. Back then, I almost never saw a Moderator. Maybe once a week, at most - Often as little as once a month. (before /d) I played in all of the US servers - low and and high numbered.
Compared to back then, this is a lot better - I've run into several mods in the past few days, and according to your testimonial, you have as well.

I think that the staff team should hire mods that are 14 or over instead of 15 because most people in this community are in that 14 years of age area and they are pretty much mature as 15 year olds. WE NEED MORE MODS!!!

The age limit for Moderator was changed down to 14 for the summer rush, we were predicting it might become 15 again, sometime near the end of September. also, if you're 1-2 years younger than the age limit, you qualify for an Age Exception, the instructions to do so are hidden on the forums, and revealing the secret would result in some form of punishment. Although Age Exceptions are EXTREMELY strict, and you must show extreme levels in responsibility, and you must be extremely mature, and have a very well written application. You also need to do two applications, and two interviews.

It's been suggested before that a system similar to the Age Exception be made for players wishing to apply for a staff role but are stopped from doing so because of a previous ban (check the replies on the thread).

Staff are often seen in the Hub for a couple of reasons;
1) They are keeping an eye on Hub chat
2) Looking out for people who need help

If you need a mod, you can politely ask for help from one if they're in the Hub. If they're busy/not replying, don't freak out and think they're a bad mod, they could be as I said, busy or they could be AFK. Hop in TeamSpeak and poke a mod there or PM a mod on the forums. If all else fails, you can take things into your own hands and gather evidence of rulebreakers and report them on the forums.

So I've been on Mcsg for about two years and through out these two years I've noticed staff members slowly not being in servers and playing I know I've posted thread like this before. But in the last four weeks there has been a huge increase of hackers I see at least 2-5 everyday. Which is very disappointing what happened to all the moderators on the servers yes I know they might be disguised in a lobby but I do /stats [Player Name] I just do letters A-E that's what a majority of staff's names start with. Today I've seen two moderators one in the hub one in a lobby and he left to go hangout with people in the hub. I know people will reply to this saying "oh well they might be on the forums or are keeping the hub safe" or something similar to it. This is what I have to say to those players and moderators that might reply to this why are they moderators if all they do is sit in the hub telling people watch your language or something like that and when they're in a game all they do is basically tell people the same thing. Yes I know not every moderator can be on the servers but if I didn't have this one ban I'd apply for moderator and I think I would be a good moderator but I'm going off topic. I'm speaking for about 65% of the community that moderators aren't doing their job last summer I always saw mods in a lobby but it seems like all the good moderators are retiring such as JustAHotDog I know ThatOneTomahawk retired from being a moderator a while ago but he was a very good mod as well. It's very sad to see all the good mods retire just because the staff seem to be much more young and not as experienced also players in lobbies have to pretend to be mods even I've had to tell players to stop spamming but since I'm not a moderator and none are ever on so the spammers, glitchers, etc. tell me to stfu (shut the bunnies up) or somethign similar to it. But the policy should be changed to where players with one seven day ban can apply for moderator but that will never happen oh well if anyone has read up to this point please have a nice day.

I never knew Tomahawk abused his powers and I'm not assuming they were good mods I know Huahwi wasn't a mod but I think they need to do something about the increase of hackers it might just be me who always sees them just my luck.

Let me just put it briefly; there will never be a moment where there will be at least one moderator in every single game. It just isn't possible that we have that many moderators constantly on at the four different hubs and all the servers within them. The minimum required age was even downsized to 14 in order to account for the summer rush that occurs very often here. I understand you encounter hackers, but it's no reason to think the staff isn't "good". If you encounter one in a game, open up a recording software (free fraps or bandicam work), and record them. Or you could poke a mod on teamspeak and tell them to hop on the server, but some may be AFK. The moderators in the hub are always watching for people who need assistance and making sure the chat is appropriate, so if they don't answer you, don't assume they're purposely not answering you.

While the developers are searching for more ways to prevent hackers ruining our games, they're something that we have to deal with. And every one you report makes this place better for everyone. If you encounter one and just don't feel like dying to them, leave the game and join another one. Simple as that. Until the day a utopia is born and all hackers are ridden from the server...

Yes I know all of this but last summer there was a mod on almost all servers that I joined. But there has been an increase of hackers from last summer to this summer if the developers are working on preventing hackers from ruining the server then there would be much better Anti-Cheat plugin instead of No Cheat Plus I don't need to name any you could just Google it. Also like you stated "there won't be a mod in every game". I know there won't but why don't they reduce the amount of servers from 200 to 160 because I always see games with 0/24 or 3/24 why keep the extra servers when they aren't being used. But like alot of other people I can't just record hackers all the time when I try to record my game will crash I've also poked mods on teamspeak and they joined the game and they tell me "Ok [Player] will be banned". This has happened 6 times and I've seen the players on the next day and 4 were using sprint hack, force field, etc. I just find this very stupid also when it's day in America there's usually 2,000-2,500 people on the servers most of these people are playing Survival Games and there's barely any mods playing with the players in SG. This is my opinion but Mcsg not MCGamer this will always be Mcsg to me but it's gotten worse more hackers and most of the people replying to me are gold, diamond, and platinum donors and they're just saying Mcsg is the best it's ever been I highly disagree I've been on the servers for a while ever since December 26 of 2012 so about two years and I think this is one of the worst time for Mcsg there's alot more hackers glitchers and just rude people. Remember this is all based off of my opinion just a reminder. Not even one moderator or Sr. Staff has replied to this which surprises me. But that's off topic I just want to state the obvious whenever I join a lobby 85% of the time people are saying how hackers have basically taken over Mcsg and the other 15% are either vips, staff, or donors saying no this is the best Mcsg has ever been then there are flame wars of who's right then I join in on the conversation and I'm called a fabulous person, told to stfu, or no one loves me but after that I don't reply because I know what I would say they would screenshot it and I would then be banned for a second time (the first was for using Rei's Minimap). The reason why they have so many servers is because there are a lot of people that come on and play during the day, and MCSG is constantly growing so they need the extra servers in order for there not to be any issues about there not being any full servers. And I understand that there are more hackers nowadays, but other than utilizing plugins and a staff team, there's not much else that can be done to stop hackers other than the players themselves reporting them. It's natural that the more people there are on the server, the more hackers there are going to be in general. So basically; there's always going to be an increase in hackers, hack clients aren't going away. Unless you want to report them and deal with them yourself or get a moderator to help you instead of complaining about there being hackers on the server well then....it's your choice.
And if you're that upset about there being hackers, then just stop playing. The only person that's stopping your from leaving is yourself.
