GG - good or bad?

I don't know why some people feel that "gg" alone falls under unacceptable. I can understand when people say other stupid stuff like that, but some people get riled up about nothing.

I meant gg10 under that context, gg would be fine but saying Good game would be a more respectable thing to say.

When I started actually playing "competitively", GG really annoyed me. However, when I started actually playing with some of the moderator community, everyone was nice. Whenever they died in DM, they would say gg. At the end of the game, everyone would exchange pleasant ggs. I really wish that GG could always mean "good game", but I think the competitive community has taken the meaning and trashed it.

And to carry this on, people generally mean GG in a nice respectful way, the reason why people take it bad are because they are generally on TILT, and for you scrubs that dont know what tilt is. Its basically when you lose and you get mad and you hate everything and everyone which happens way too much with kids on this server C:

If someone says "gg" to me and I know I got them pretty low and it actually was that's fine with me. But if they were too for example fist me into lava on demons breeze at the start and say "gg" then it's obvious what intentions they have.

I only say gg if it is an actual good fight, say like I team with my two friends, and we 3v1 a guy. No, I would not say "gg".

The issue people have is that with the ever-growing competitive community, the meaning of 'GG' which was once always 'good game' and used as a polite term has now changed to a derogatory remark used when someone gets an easy kill. Of course it still has its old meaning, but the usage of the second meaning is increasing.

To those who say and take gg for what it is and use it respectfully: good job. To those using its derogatory alternative meaning: you're not pleasing anyone but yourself.
