What do you think? Some say GG is just something mean to say to people after they die. But is it?

My Thoughts: I throw out GGs to anyone and everyone possible, if I see someone die, I hand them a GG, if I kill them(unless they have like, nothing, then I won't say anything), I give them a GG, if they kill me, I hand out a GG, and if they win, they earn a GG. I personally don't feel that it is bad, but just saying that they had a good game.

Some people take it as a 'hahaha I killed u nub u suk' kind of thing, like get r3kd, which can't really go either way like GG can. Some people get fed up with too many GGs around. Some just don't know if they're being nice, or trying to be a jerk (like me). So tell me your thoughts!

Even if someone say rekt or gg10 why does it matter?
While I would agree with you on that many wouldn't. People can get uber-competitive in this game and I've talked with people who were playing and they just got in these off-moods for a while when people said. It really pisses people off and gets to them.

I think GG is okay at some points. Like if you actually had a good kill or a good fight, then I believe it is okay to say. But what annoys me is when you get a kid in full iron then a kid in leather boots, the full iron wins then says "GG". That's when I think people are doing it to anger the other player or sound cocky.

Another thing that I think makes it look more cocky is when it is in caps. If you say "GG" verses "gg" I think the capital one makes the player who says it more cocky, but idk what do you guys think?

So overall I think it can be cocky or it can be sportsmanship, it just matters how and when you say that two letter term.

I use caps [GG] if it was a really good fight, or at the end if I had a few good fights. So, that would mean if I just killed a wimpy guy, I wouldn't use caps [gg] as it wasn't as good a fight.

I used to say gg after pretty much every kill. When I realised it got on peoples nerves (sorry for being nice lol) I began to use it less often.

Also, I personally use 'GG' (as opposed to gg) if it was a very good fight that wasn't quite in my favour, yet I still won ( a team of 4, a stacked guy, etc).

I never use 'gg' as a provoctaive term. I sometimes say 'rekt' (or something amongst those lines) but only to friends as a joke.

Personally handing out a subtle "gg" ingame is practically the norm, even if the person who killed me is trying with all their efforts to publicly humiliate and/or trying to cause me offence, I will still respond with "gg"!

It is, for many people, the go to response!

It's really just a personal viewpoint. It can be good or bad depending how you look at it. I personally think every game is a good game even if I lose.

GG/gg Is basically a handshake of respect. People seriously need to grow up over it.

I use it indiscriminately as a more friendly gesture. Even when I kill someone as a part of a team, I'm just trying to say "You did your best." If people want to think I'm disrespecting them or something, then they can feel free to do that, but "gg" by itself should never be a problem.
