It not just about non-donors though. I'm a diamond donor who enjoys valleyside as much as the next guy and I love the new system. With the previous system, if you're in a lobby with some donors and valleyside is an option you might as well not have voted. It's as if your map preference counts for nothing. With raffle voting I know that my vote(s) for survival kingdom count for something- my opinion is represented proportionately in the percentage chance. The main reason donors tend to object to raffle voting is that they are not able to monopolise the voting as they could previously, to which all I can say is stop complaining and deal with it, because this system is a whole lot fairer than the last one.

I think that implementing the raffle voting was a good idea. Primarily because it gives underplayed maps the opportunity to get chosen. If they brought back the old voting system, these underplayed maps wouldn't even be played anymore. And we all know what happens with maps that don't get played anymore, they get removed. The map makers have put a lot of effort in making these maps and they got accepted on MCSG for a reason. You have to give them a chance at least. Some of these underplayed maps are actually really good ones, but they simply don't get enough votes because they are not as well-known as other maps what makes players think that it is a bad map, just because they don't have a (good) route on them. So the raffle voting should stay. If a map that you don't like gets chosen, then just leave and search for one where you do like to play on.

I know but there are tons of people that dislike the system, I do get some maps that are underplayed are pretty good but most are underplayed because they are either: too big, badly tiered, bad for pvp, slow paced, ugly, boring/generic, or are just generally disliked. I did say I get why people like it but it is just there are too many of us that hate it and it takes me sometimes 5 minutes trying to find a specific map I want to play then it loses to a map with 2 votes and I have to search again. With games full of donors when a map like sg5 wins a third of the people leave.
