So here you have it, my second rant about MCG's rules in the second consecutive day. Yesterday, as many of you know who read the thread, I wrote a thread asking changes to the no trolling rule. After reading the notes from the Community Focus Group, I have an even bigger issue with a response to a question in the notes.
A player had asked the very good question, regarding if it is legal to get potions from item frames. The answer was that it is considered abusing a glitch.
Well, lets start off by discussing if the item frames thing can even by considered a glitch. Dinnerbone programmed the item frames specifically so that if you click on them the item shoots out. Because that is how the item frames were programed to work, no it is not a glitch.
Now, quite obviously this is a very minor problem as I am sure the devs are working on a solution, but my point is that I would like to see MCG be more careful with how they word their rules. How would player know that that is against the rules because it is considered abusing a glitch, when it isn't even abusing a glitch?
Don't come an tell me that this is a one off thing either, because general rule 17 stills states this:
17. You may not sell items for monitary value (such as Minecraft Accounts, In Game Ranks, or in game items) for any sort of personal gain on any of our platforms.
Well, I asked the staff about this and they said that selling art is legal. SO THEREFORE IT SHOULD STATE THAT IN THE RULES AS AN EXCEPTION. Because that is an item being sold for monetary value. Not to mention that abusing OP items is illegal, when it NEVER STATES THAT ANYWHERE IN THE RULES. (Correct me if I am wrong).
Note: Sorry if this sounds rude, but all I am asking for is for the rules to be revised to address these questions. Sorry if I put false information in here, staff please correct me if I am wrong. However, from what I have been able to gather from staff, this is accurate.
