Today I created a thread titled, "Chad, please fire this admin." It was basically a letter to Chad asking him to fire the admin Google Administrator for spamming the forums with ads. The 100% intention of this thread was to be humorous.

Humor is something that makes people happy, it brightens their day when they are sad. You know people are enjoying it when it hits 12 likes in its first 15 minutes. Unfortunately, the staff decided to delete it as trolling is against the rules. Which is 100% true. For that reason I support their decision to delete the thread as it did break MCG rules.

However, the rule clearly states that trolling is not allowed as it may cause "flame wars." Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't see any flame wars being sent at the Google Administrator, as he is not a person so he can't fight back. Therefore it is not a war, as you can't fight a one person war.

This is why I am kindly requesting a rule change to allow some kinds of trolling. This is the basic outline I would suggest for the rule change:
"Trolling is allowed if it is used in a humorous way, and is not directed at an individual or group, controversial topic, race or ethnicity, or anything else that does not follow other MCG rules."

After all, rolling is a popular way to be funny, s0 why should we ban humor?

Another issue I had is that I was not contacted by an staff member as to why my thread was deleted, I think it should be MCGamer policy to tell users why they broke a rule so they don't do it again in the future. It wasn't until I put a post on my profile asking why that I got answers. To be fair, I did post the profile post rather quickly, so if they were about to contact me, then you can ignore this post. But, I don't believe they were going to. It has been brought to my attention that I was about to be contacted, you can ignore this point.

My last and final issue is for the rules, in particular this one to be followed more consistently. On April Fools day there were dozens of trolling threads, and they weren't taken down. If they break the rules, they should be locked or deleted. If April Fools day is an exception, then please state so in the rules. Also I wrote this thread which was trolling http://www.minecraftsurvivalgames.com/threads/bow-aimbot.102177/#post-1195602 and it never got deleted or locked. If I had been warned the first time, then this would have not happened the second time.

Just thought I would point this stuff out, as I think it is for the best of the community. Sorry for breaking the rules.

You were going to be contacted; I assure you! ^_^

Other than that, everything you bring up is valid.

Adblock works well! ^_^
lol, I just realized I forgot to turn off adblock on this site. I want to support MCG! I only intentionally use it on sites that have ads like click to download.
Edit: now it just says Invalid URL. Ok adblock activated unless I am actually going to get an ad... Back to the topic of the thread!
Edit2: Restarting my browser fixed the invalid url. Its time to watch ads again...

If you have problems with a member of staff you should see a administrator. Other than that I feel your pain with ads :/ what are they even there for!!!!

I once made a forum account called Likely to see how many likes we could hit in one post... They deleted my thread, all my likes, and all my messages on the account -.-

I mean, I understand it was against the rules, but they could have just locked the thread or something :c

The point is, I understand where their reasoning comes from, I just think that sometimes things are taken a bit to the extreme

Dear @arsenalfcgunners ,

I'm sorry; but it was kind of obvious you started a plea to fire one of my favourite administrators. Although you may not like him, I do. I'm glad your thread was deleted and I hope Google was not affected by this and I sincerely do not hope he is thinking of resigning. If this was to occur, I would leave the community too. Such a great administrator, like Google, does not have to reconcile with members like you who go out their way to rid of such an administrator.

Google can be seen as a very active user on the forums, he is always first on every thread and therefore deserves his position. I do not see any other administrators spending as much time on the forums as Google does. I was slightly surprised when I did not see Google in the top three of the 'Best/Favourite Administrators' awards. Unlike other administrators, Google goes out his way to offer us great deals on: holidays, computer parts and anything in between.

It really saddened me to learn that people encouraged and liked the fact you wanted to fire Google. You single handedly have started an uproar about the demotion of Google. Google is only human, he has feelings too. This is the time where I begin to dislike the MCGamer community when they try their hardest to demote such an active administrator. I ask you this question, where else would you "Learn more about SAGE?"

Out of respect and sheer devotion for Google, I can only hope that the senior staff decide to take your plea further and I hope you suffer with the consequences of being banned. I have been speaking to Google and he was explaining how upset he was about this recent thread and that is why it was removed. Google is so special that when you click on his head, it directs you to all the messages on the home page. Now, can any other administrator do that? Google is such a devoted administrator that he has never played a game of MCSG and therefore this shows his commitment to deal with community issues rather than frolic about playing games. Google has never posted a thread and therefore this shows his is very busy working behind the scenes (or commenting on other threads and helping them find the best holiday prices).

I believe that people need to stop taking Google for granted. He deserves his recognition for being such an active, honest administrator who provides us all with the answers we need. I have never seen Google get into trouble or ever been publicly attacked on the forums until yesterday. Perhaps you're jealous about the achievements that Google has achieved and you cannot stand him beating you to the first comment on the threads. All in all, I use to like you @arsenalfcgunners ; however with this recent attack on my favourite and, in my opinion, the best administrator, I can only dislike you as I have more respect for my friend Google.

In conclusion, no one has came out good in this situation. You have not gained the execution of Google and only received a stern telling off from the supporters of Google. I have not had a positive out of your thread as I am currently writing an angry letter to you regarding your particular thread and this has made me really stressed. But, most of all, Google has not had a positive out of your thread. He is now debating weather to resign or stay apart of the staff team. He has been hurt about your recent remarks and I am not surprised. Please, next time, be careful about who you target and want demoting. Please do it with a just cause; do not target legends as this will not reflect good on your behalf. I hope you have learnt your lesson and I am hoping for a quick and apologetic response.

Yours sincerely,
Liam
