Resource Pack Help!

So I'am making my Resource Pack, but I have an issue, it won't show up in my list of Resource packs.

Help ASAP would be greatly appreciated, also I'm not sure in what section to post this, sorry.

Have you put the .rar containing your texture pack in Minecraft's resource pack folder?

I'm on a mac, I can't find the .rar files.

I`m pretty good with resource packs, try saving or copying the whole resource pack and put it into another folder (You may have to extract the files/folders)

What do you mean into another folder? What folder do I put it in?
