What do you mean into another folder? What folder do I put it in?

Just make a folder on your desktop and drag the resource pack into it, you can just name it anything. Then just drag the folder into your resource packs folder.

Heres a step-by-step tutorial I followed it, I think it may have something to do with step 1 and 2

I knew what was wrong, just that I didn't know how to fix it on a Macintosh, you had a zip folder containing the folder of the RP, not a zipped RP.

My bad, the issue wasn't resolved, so the thread will remain open. I misunderstood a post. Still, thank you so much to everyone for helping out!
