Necroeing causes old threads and unimportant topics to be bumped into the first page of threads, which is resumed for recent posted on threads and popular ones such as Show Yourself and Screenshot thread. We don't want to have a thread on the introduction of 1.4 to come up with how you can adjust your settings. It's not relavent anymore, so it's not needed, and therefore, should remain down the list never to be seen again

Say there was a dead thread where the problem was solved a long time ago. Everyone is happy and later new problems come and the staff needs to hear of them so they can be solved. Well we can't notice these problems when old threads that were dealt with get brought up to the top of the list pushing more recent threads down to the bottom.

Yes, but if a problem is solved, then you simply lock the thread. But I'm talking about the threads that aren't about a problem, or have been solved or ended in any matter or way.

It gives people unneeded alerts, and people don't like that.

Sometimes it's not a mod that solves the issue, so the thread doesn't get noticed by someone who can lock it. Either way, there are many situations where a solved thread will go unlocked.
It does that for spans of like a week or two, but for some reason after it's been months it forgets >.>
That might be 1 factor, but another definite factor is if you miss an alert of someone replying to that thread, you won't get any more alerts when people reply to the thread so you might be a bit out of the loop.
Necroing not allowed for a few reasons. It just "opens the chapter back" and might give an unnecessary discussion, again.
Also necroing is allowed on art threads, art threads only.
No, it's allowed on Map threads. Double posting is allowed on art threads. If you have to necro an art thread, the maker of the thread probably isn't making art anymore.

As soon as Necroing's allowed, at least 100 old threads will be scattered across the first page in every section of the forums, blocking out all relevant discussions with ones that are outdated, and died for a reason.

You guys seriously don't want Necroing to be allowed, do you...
