Why ISN'T Necroing allowed?

I mean, it's not as if it has any serious negative effects, and it can be used in a good way such as bringing and incredible thread back to life. So my question is, why isn't it allowed? It just seems pointless to me for it the be prohibited...

If the thread is still discussion worthy it won't be locked.

i agree. I always hate that when I comment on a discussion thread, then it instantly gets locked .-.

Yeah, that would be awesome! Or maybe we could, if you don't make a thread, just, like, if you see someone saying NECROOOO!1!1!, just discourage them? I may do that.

Necroing not allowed for a few reasons. It just "opens the chapter back" and might give an unnecessary discussion, again.
Also necroing is allowed on art threads, art threads only.

I agree with this. I for example, have found many threads that have an interesting topic, but the only way to get the conversation back to life is necro the thread. In my opinion, Necros should be allowed when AND if the player who brings the thread back, is still on topic. And havent you guys noticed? You only get alerts when you have posted on a thread recently...
