"Unknown Host" "Outdated Server"

Hi i recently bought minecraft and every server i have looked up worked, except for every MCSG server. They mostly say Unknown Host, but the tekkit server said "Outdated Server". Can anyone help? It would mean so much. Is anyone else having the same problem? Thanks.

If it is outdated, update your mine craft to the newest version.

I have, my minecraft is updated 10 1.4.6. and i have read the general support section

Hello there mowhawck,

Tekkit run on a different minecraft client engine meaning if you wish to play tekkit, you will need to install there client, which can be found by googling Tekkit.

The tekkit version said that i was not white listed or something and the normal minecraft version doesn't work.

That would be because the tekkit server is currently being built
