Ever since Demons Breeze and Freeze Island were made
and added to MCSG, other people thought it would be a good
idea to make remakes of other maps like Holiday Resort was an original
and then a new one was Demons Resort. This made map making alot
easier for people that just don't like to make a whole new map of their own.
But then a rule was set out to the MCGamer Community.
This new rule was made a few months later. This rule
was stated as "Remade or edited maps that were made were not allowed"
meaning that remaking maps without the map creators permissions are
not allowed. Ever since that rule was made, Freeze Island and Demons Breeze
and other maps that were remade from their original creator were then removed from MCSG.
The community did not felt happy about the new rule since now people are having to spent
a long period of time making their own maps for MCSG which take a long time for the Officers
such as Dave and Alpha to accept and add the new maps these people made for themselves.
After a couple of months, static_nightmare either gave permission
to the person that made Demons Breeze to be added back or The MCGamer
Community requested for Demons Breeze to be added back since it became a very
popular and well-known map. However, people still played it and enjoyed it since MCGamer v2
had been out.
If you or someone else wanted to make a remake or edit of a map creator's
map and have it added to the servers, you need to ask the original map
creators permissions since there are people that just create the map without
asking. So don't be dumb, make sure you asked the author or map creator of
that map you want to remake permission to do so, cause you probably will get
denied and possibly in trouble by the map creator himself.
I guess I should rap this up soon. Demons Breeze is a popular map and has been played
since MCSG/MCGamer v2 release. You can always asked the map creator for permission to
remake their map with other people, whether it would be a snowy edit, a demons edit, anything
you would offer to you and your helpers to build out of. This story should explain to you about
how remade maps you might seen on the site were posted and made, with a new rule stated above
in red was set out to you all and finally, how our remade map Demons Breeze made it through
and stayed on MCSG.
Today, people either now make there own maps and get accepted onto MCSG
like Par 72, Alaskan Village, Zone 85, etc. Or they ask the authors permissions to remake them into
there own addition of a SG map like Freeze Island, Demons Breeze (Currently on the server), Demons Resort, and other maps.
