Summary of Plans and Purpose

Aussieopolis, as you might have guessed, is an Australian based build team. It is quite casual though we have big plans. An overarching goal would be to publish a map. If one day, one of our maps gets published, we will be happy as larry. Currently we are not recruiting because of the holiday season.

Projects

The End Zone (24 Player SG Map) (75%)

This was our first project we started. We have actually been working on it for atleast 2 years. I'm half kidding. You find when you work on a map, it does get boring and tedious. So you have to have the discipline to keep going when you hate it. Having external programs like MCedit and WorldPainter does speed things up though. We actualyl worked on it with breaks of 4 months and so on. The majority of it was done in Vanilla Minecraft. To some extent we believe that it does not function well as a whole map, but aspects of it are strong. Anyway we'll cut to the chase. It is an SG map themed in and around the End. We thought there would be a lot of these types of maps based in other dimensions. Maybe 'Demon's Breeze' is symbolic of the Nether. Anyway there is an alien theme with UFOs, parkour and giant space stations and facilities. There is also a giant snake for some reason. Anyone is free to do an End themed map, especially if they do it better than us :).

Dino Destiny (48 Player SG Map) (5%)

We decided to break from the other project to do something new and creative. I've heard people talk about doing an SG map inside a volcano. The ideas stemmed from there. We have a cornucopia inside an active volcano on an island shaped like a T-rex head. The map has a prehistoric vibe. There will be plenty of dinosaurs as well as a Jurrasic Park® Park and research facility. There will also be a giant ape wrestling with a T-rex. We also plan to implement the gate from King-Kong® with a savage village on the rocks. This map will be an ode to all great adventure films and will hopefully be our first accepted map. (There is no chance the other one will be accepted).

Furthermore

We have decided against posting photos for the time being.
We hope to publish both maps congruently early in 2015.
