I was referring to a default kit that everyone started out with, but apparantly loads of people are against it

That would ruin the point of SG. In the hunger games people dont start out with items. Also if everyone had a sword and armour and food to start with that would be dumb. The games could possibly end at the beggining because everyone attacks each other and kills everyone so it turns more into pvp more than survival games. But its good of you to add ideas to ideas section
I realized that, thats why I said badly damaged gear so that it would only last one fight and you won't die right away because you have something to defend yourself.That would ruin the point of SG. But if you stay out of the way of fighting and are good you shouldn't die right away unless you get really bad luck. Also again, starting out with stuff ruins the point of SG

Also, adding this would make the cornucopia even worse. This would favor aimbotters and force-fielders as they would have a weapon and could easily kill everyone in sight. Even in the case there isn't a hacker in a game, everyone would just turn and kill each other right at the time hit 0, and the round would last 5 seconds and then the point of spectators would be depleted. This would make people lazier and the point of hiding chests and making it to where players were forced to stop being lazy and get a route would be no more. This is Survival Games.
