Specatator and xp

while in spectatator mode i started picking up xp just thought this was dumb nothing major

This is basic minecraft getting in the way... there is really no need for xp in these servers as of yet but there is no way to control it without modding the basic client

cant you just turn xp off... i know when it first came out people had plugins to disable it
