If youtubers find chat a problem, there is an option to turn of chat. Or, they could implement a /ignore feature
Well I didn't think of going into Multiplayer settings and disabling chat manually as I almost never do that. However, my idea forces players to be unable to chat for the duration of the lobby and game.

And would you really want to /ignore about 15 people at once? :p

Then doing /ignore with no specific person after, ignores the whole chat. I feel that this problem cant be fixed more efficiently then disabling chat completely

The thing that really appeals to me about this idea is how people won't be able to say "gg r3kT eZ m9 pZZ l2p"

Though it may ignore the entire chat completely, other people are still typing things and YOU still have the capability to type things without any sort of way to see the ramifications and aftermath of what you typed. Your system means only you see what you type. What if you have friends over that game? You're going to go to all the trouble of ignoring the entire server then specifically unignoring your friends (which is complicated by the fact that they might be disguised in which case, if you don't remember their IGN, this is just wasting precious seconds of your time. Completely disabling people's ability to type things in chat is the aim here.
