Hello tributes, it’s your fellow moderator Adragonfire9 and this is a tutorial that will show you how to take screenshots for the fun of it and for report abuses.
Mac:
Method 1: To take a screenshot of the game, which only gets a few lines of chat, press the f2 button while in minecraft. Note that, as of 1.7 this is not the most efficient way on a mac, so you may want to use the next method as chat lines go quick.
Method 2: For macs, we can hold shift, command, 4, this turns our cursor to look like a plus sign, with a circle in the middle of it. Numbers on it will change to show the position of the cursor while taking a screenshot. From here on, either you can click and drag all the way to take a picture of minecraft, or while you are in the screenshot mode, you can hit space, and your cursor will turn into a camera, which auto selects the entire window your cursor is over. Then all you need to do is click to take your picture. Here is a video of an example of how to do this.
Windows:
On windows there are a few ways to take a screenshot, but this is the most reliable way. Click the window you want to take a screenshot of. Hold down alt and press PrtScr. This will open an image and it will be copied to the clipboard. Open paint and press control and v, this will paste the screenshot into paint. The final step is to save the file and name it, if you are doing this for the first time, make a safe location where you will remember where the screenshot is. First, you want to go to the url http://www.imgur.com
Then you want to click upload from computer, as seen here:
Choose the screenshot you want to upload:
Click Start upload:
Copy the first link and paste into your report abuse:
