My Idea to prevent hackers

I started playing MCSG in December 2013. Those times were the best, and the most fun time I ever had on the servers. But lately, since 2014, I've been seeing a increase of hackers. They have been slowly and slowly growing to a ridiculous amount. For 4 games in a row, I've encountered hackers. One was sprint hacking, one was aimbotting, one had regen, etc.

I know that the Devs put a lot of hard work in making the servers fun, but I think there has to be something done about the hackers. I know that you work tirelessly on the servers, and I respect that. But, I feel like the fun is being replaced by frustration.

I suggest something that will make sure that there is no hackers. Why doesn't mcsg make a MCSG mod kinda like Optifine. So, you are only allowed in the servers if you have that mod. I understand that many people may not play MCSG, because some noobs can't even install optifine :p. But I feel, unless we use something like this, many people will leave because of the hackers.

Suggested many times before, but turned down for a couple of reasons:
  • It wouldn't actually prevent hackers; hacks could be installed in addition to the mod.
  • Forcing our players to install a client-side mod is a bad idea, as we'd probably lose 99% of our player base.

I hate to break it to you but there are always going to be hackers, no matter what server you are on. The amount of hackers that are on our servers can be reduced if we all work together. If non-staff doesn't report hackers then they greatly reduce the amount of hackers we are able to eliminate.

My Idea is to check if people are hacking in game. Randomly, It will teleport you to a chamber where an admin, or maybe even an NCP from a plugin, If you are using forcefield, as soon as you are teleported your head will snap and you will immediatley start to hit the player or NCP. The player would then be banned. The only problem with this is most hackers turn of their forcefield while in the hub and it would be annoying to get teleported in game. Let me know what you guys think of this.

Anti-hacking plugins tend to be very glitchy especially in it's early stages. It would lead to several false bans because what the system may think are hacks, may actually just be lag. The best way to stop hackers is to report them or get a staff member to help.

I forgot where I saw this, but here's a little idea.

Forcefielders hit every entity near them, correct? How about place an invisible entity above every player in the games head, if it's hit you get kicked.

Don't know if this would work, but it'd be amazing if it did and could be implemented. c:

Doesn't the hive have a plugin which prevents regen hacking?

That would indeed work but the plugin would probably have some glitches every now and then so it might kick/ban innocent people. In order to implement a plugin like this the devs will need to be sure that it is always glitch free and have any kind of plugin backing it up. Right now I really think devs should focus on the glitches they have now (such as ghosting) before they can make a plugin like this + there would still be a lot of regen hackers and other hackers left.
