MCSG in 1.7 or 1.8?

Hello, i just watched UnFuggettable's latest Sg saying 1.8 is god. and i can pvp in 1.7 and 1.8 alot of people say 1.7 is better but some people say 1.8 is better. what do you guys think is better for MCSG or minecraft in general. i made this post to help MCSG players and pvpers of all kind.

Both are bad, but I'll take 1.8 over 1.7 because it did add some cool new features and no matter how much people complain, the PvP isn't all that different. It takes some getting used to, but nothing to create a huge fuss about like people do now.

I think that 1.7 is better for pvp because i can't get used to 1.8, because i haved played on 1.7 all the time. I preferd 1.7.10

I always use the latest version of minecraft with optifine unless I experience bugs, glitches or maybe even crashes.
That would be 1.8.4 now but will switch to 1.8.8 with optifine soon.
