Make A Goodbye Section

I see why you would want one, but I don't see how it would be a good section. Essentially, the few people that browse it would be the few people that want to spam without spamming and just say "Bye, gonna miss you" on every single thread to go up in posts and even likes when people occasionally like posts such as those. There will be very few legitimate posts, except maybe on a popular members thread, and it would just be a depressing section.

The reason this sort of doesn't happen already is because people don't target goodbye threads just to say that, whereas people could target a section rather than specific threads if this happened.

I think if anything of this sort happens, it would have to be combined with one of the other subsections. That way there are at least 2 types of threads in that subsection, and it can be considered less spammy.

Trust me, I don't want a goodbye section but I feel it's necessary to keep the forums more organized.

As to people just spamming the section I don't really think that'd much of an issue. Most of the forum community is mature enough not do something like that.

I'm not saying no good bye section what so ever, I'm saying if we do add one (which I'd rather not do, but if we do it like this then I don't mind) it should be combined with one of the other sub sections in the Community Corner.

And obviously the forum community isn't mature enough, people do it already on good bye threads. But if a goodbye section would be added, my guess is it would be almost as bad as Last Reply Wins (that's not as bad as it used to be right now from last time I checked on it like a month ago) just covering a whole section and the spam would be less obvious.
