wiki is never wrong! Have you ever been to like north Africa, like the richer areas. Those people live better then me
I never claimed wikipedia was always right, I just used it as a source. I can't say that I have ever been to North Africa, either. All I stated is that the internet in Africa is pretty bad and that not many people use it. It is just to explain that there more than likely won't be an African server as I have stated in my previous post. Thanks for your insight, by the way.

Well, your source that could be considered legitimate is 2+ years old, as you should probably know, south and north Africa have came along a lot since 2 years ago, js

Alright, it's been talked about. I would love Asian servers, it would really bring me back into MCSG. I highly doubt you will find a demand for AS servers though unfortunately. This is because they've been gone so long most of us have quit and moved on to other games. If they came back, I would come back. Personally, I feel as if you have enough money to host them, but then I also understand I have no idea about your finance state. I sincerely hope you can find enough people to play on AS to rationalise spending money on us, or I hope that you will find a solution to being able to host servers in SINGAPORE.

Please host them in Singapore, best Wifi in the world apart from South Korea and/or Japan (depending on who you ask). Also, I live there, I loved my 8 ms before ;)

That very well could be. However, I don't think their technological advancements have led to enough people playing Minecraft for MCGamer to consider setting up a server there. Anyways, thanks for your opinion and debate. ^_^

I expected about half of the responses to be, "as close to me as possible". Was not disappointed.
No suggestions for Turkey, though? I'm surprised.

Based on the requests that I see being made, the new location is a toss-up between South America and Asia. Both are serving large populations, both are equally vocal with their repeated requests, both will require a proportion of our staff to know a new language. And, of course, both will be an expensive investment to make.

The biggest confounding matter here is the lack of information available for those regions. We have a general idea of AS's numbers from the past, but they might not be representative or current with today's demand (which is the best argument I hear from the Pro-AS arguments). South America we know next to nothing about other than the assurance that there are a ton of people who want it (history lesson: the same argument was made the first time AS was around).

For the players' perspective, making a new region isn't an easy decision to make. A lot of time, effort, and resources go into a new region, which is why we don't make such decisions on a whim or because people tell us they really really really want it. We don't want a repeat of AS's closure.

I hope your back yard has a 10 Gb/s connection, DDoS protection, and enough electricity to handle the power draw of 20 servers.
I would go with South America if they are both equally vocal. Reason? Asia failed once. South America has never had a chance.

Maite, how could you do this to me. Asia was going great, but then everybody left, don't blame the region, BLAME THE PEOPLE.

We want to host in Melbourne originally. Possibly in the future if AU is more supported, we would just convert out of SAU to make our own network. Something I wish we can do but we would need a lot of help from the community to help pay for that upgrade.
It would be awesome if you could buy something from the store to get something in game and maybe get hats/items/pets or something. This is just an idea, it would be cool to see something like this. (This idea is a little like Credits).

Why don't you just make a poll when people join the server asking if you would like to see AS Servers back up?

Nordic. Location close to Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. The EU community is full of norwegians and so on.
