How is bukkit out already..

So
i was wandering around mc today and I was wondering how servers have plugins when there is not a compatible craftbukkit!

Bukkit release different versions of craftbukkit. There is first "Dev", this stage is the beginning of the new craftbukkit, plugin dev's can already begin to code their plugin at this stage. The next stage is "Beta", this build is almost stable, just a few more bug spray cans are needed.
Then comes "Recommended Build", the final stage were major bugs are gone and is 99% stable.

The recommended build is easier to find than the other ones, if you really want to update, or make your plugins, you have to dig deeper in the files of the downloads.
