Meaning you have to take a chance and be as quick as possible, it can be really annoying, but thats the risk of going to spawn!

Gets stone sword off spawn - Suggests no grace period.
Gets killed off spawn by sword - Suggests grace period.
All in all Would rather no grace to be honest, I don't even go to spawn most maps anyway lol.
