So, as you guys have heard. Google Fibre is now out and has first started of at Kansas City and is going to move forward to Austin, Texas. I can't wait 'till Google Fibre will go internationally, it would be good for playing minecraft servers that are out of my region/watch HD YouTube vids in 720p or 1080p/download HD movies in less than 30 mins or less. Now, that is some ridiculously fast internet.

And the reason why i'm starting this thread is just simply to ask the players who lives in Kansas City how's Google Fibre? (for the ones who has Google Fibre). The internet speed now are according to megabits while Google Fibre will have high speed internet in gigabits . Google Fibre wants people to afford it so they decided to put the price to 70 bucks a month. Now that is awesome for such high-speed internet.

Tell me what you guys think about this. It's gonna be awesome for the new generation!

Woodysgamertag of all people, made a video explaining one of the reasons why google are doing this. It's so that other companies like BT, sky, Orange get their arses in gear and make something competitive, to improve the internet for everyone, same as with Google Chrome. other companies saw it and thought 'Good! People are stopping using our browser and using that! We'd better improve ours!'

I so badly wan't Google Fibre. The thing that most people don't understand is that companies measure internet connection in megabits not megabytes (in this case gigabits instead of gigabytes). So really, if you had Google Fibre, you only had 128 megabytes per second download and upload instead of 1 gigabyte download and upload. While that is still ridiculously fast and I want it more than anything else in the world, it is not as fast as most people are led to believe it is. Although, with this, I can theoretically download a 10gig Steam game in about a minute and a half...

Edit: Here's my Speedtest results for those who want to know how fast my internets are:

I WISH I could have that. My internet is dreadful, everytime I've posted a speedtest people have been horrified.
