I don't think it's a bad idea, there are people that don't want to or aren't capable of moderating ingame that would be great at moderating the forums.

Personally, I wouldn't mind being a forum moderator instead.

I prefer to just be on the forums all the time. Im stalking it 24/7, Hence why you may not see me play too often. (Though part of that may be because I haven't been home for weeks.)

So ya, you can just message me on here and I'll probably respond immediately.
I can give out one of my cell phone numbers too if you guys feel you need someone who can give immediate attention to something.

Honestly the forums don't require too many mods, as long as we can have maybe 1-2 mods on the forums at all times (which we do) the forums should be relatively stable, and not have many issues.

Our forums are growing, more and more mods will need to be on, eventually that number might not be able to sustain our number of mods.

Point is tho, our community is growing with 10-14 year olds who cant get moderator, thats one problem.

And lets not forget, not everyone 15+ is fit to moderate, so that shortens the list of potential new recruits.

Making it more crucial to find those who are, there are many people younger AND older who are fit to moderate.

What does that have to do with the topic at hand?
If Forum Moderators come into existence will they have different requirements? Probably not, so it probably won't change much.

I think specific people to moderate the forums would be pretty useless. In the original thread you said it took 30 minutes to deal with a thread spam bot, well I think that's quite fast. I generally only check out new threads once or twice a day, so if mods are checking it every 30 minutes that's pretty good. Also, spam threads aren't that big of a deal. I think spammers, hackers and other in-game rule breakers are more annoying and should be dealt with immediately rather than a mod checking the forums first.

So rather than forum moderators, I think it makes more sense to just to get better moderators like people said earlier.
