Bringing Back AS

We don't need petitions to bring back AS. This petition could get 100,000 names, but it wouldn't change the fiscal reality of the situation. Servers, especially reliable ones in AS, aren't cheap.

We need people who are willing to pay to keep AS financially feasible month to month. Maybe instead of a list of names, you should have a list of names and the amount of money they'd be willing to donate month after month for AS servers; if it comes close to the monthly operational costs, then maybe it's worth considering. And even then, we'd need to see who will actually donate what they promised.

What Col said, we would love if Asian players were able to have a server, but with out a constant flow of cash it isn't going to happen. At this point the AS servers are not going to come back anytime soon.

You can try, but people have been clamoring for AS servers without trying to address the real issues here. Popularity doesn't matter if it can't be harnessed in a realistic manner towards achieving one's goals, and so far people have been showing popular opinion and nothing else. If we brought AS back on good-will alone right now, it'd be shut down quickly afterwards because it wouldn't be able to sustain itself financially... again.

Again, it's not a question of player counts, it's a matter of business and finances. CA servers have a higher proportion of paying players in addition to relatively cheaper servers. Also looking at the CA numbers right now, CA is currently boasting twice the population AS had consistently, even on CA's slow time. Thus, CA servers make better business sense than AS servers right now.
