Australian Servers not supporting 1.6.x

the Australian servers are run on potatoes so it lags any way but i do agree with 1.7.x and no optifine or any good fps boosting mods it is extremely difficult to connect to and play well on the au servers. fortunately i can connect to U.S servers fine but i do feel sorry for those who can't

I use potatoes to run my toaster. Me and MCSG have something in common.

The 1.6 login issue is Mojangs problem as I believe one of their servers is down (not sure which). But we can hope that this matter will be resolved soon as MCSG really can't do much about it.

Seeing as this thread is going off topic very fast, and it appears as though you've gotten the answer you've wanted I will go ahead and lock this thread. Also, in the future don't tag developers.
