Hey guys, A couple days ago I bought an ASUS Rog GL551 - Ds71 - Specs found here.
I like the laptop and how it works except for how it performs in Minecraft. As a 1000$ laptop I expected to be able to at least have more than 100 fps on 8 chunks and atleast be able to record. Right now when I record with 8 chunks it goes down to 20 fps and it is unbearable because I can't post evidence on youtube/upload videos.

Any suggestions? I would appreciate it a lot for some help :)

Well I get a 100 fps without Optifine with a GTX 770, but Optifine boosts my frames to about 700 on servers so maybe if you don't have Optifine, install it, or if you have it, reinstall it or use different versions.I feel as if that may fix your problem.

Here are a few tips to improve your fps:
1. Install Optifine
2. Use default texture pack
3. Close other programs e.g YouTube
4. Set priority to high. This can be done by pressing ctrl+alt+delete at the same time. This will open up task manager. Look for a process called javaw.exe and right click on it. Click set priority high and there you go!
5. Also make sure that vSync is turned off in your minecraft settings, and just mess around with a few performance settings.

Be sure to let me know if this helped!

It's probably not detecting it as a game and it runs on your intergrated graphic card. in the NVidea configuration screen force it to use your graphics card.

Try opening it over steam. When you do its basically forced to run on your graphics card.
~Let me know if it worked ^_^
