I was thinking that different armor sets could provide different encumberance to players so it can add some variety to the game. But I'm not sure if it is possible at all to implement.
Leather Set: Normal Speed (1 and a half blocks a second?)
Gold: 1 and 1/4 blocks a second
Chain: 2 blocks a second
iron: 1 blocks a second
diamond: 3/4 blocks a second
Also, each armor SET could tailor to a specific "class" to add role-playeeness elements to MCSG
Leather: Food heals 1/2 more hunger
Gold: Tools loose less durability
Chain: something cool
iron: something cool
Diamond: crafted items provide 2x the item ex: apple+ 8 nuggets = 2 gold apples
