Because people don't want to move to US Servers.. IF they live in a certain region, obviously, they would enjoy playing that region. Although, if their region is CA, they will most likely move to US, due to lack of game modes on CA. The point of CA being on MCG would be a lot more useful if they offered the game-modes that US offered.
But CA players don't even fill up the Survival Games servers. Introducing the other gamemodes isn't going to immediately boost the population, especially when MCGamer's most popular gametype isn't even being played.

You're saying that having the gamemodes up in CA would bring back players to CA..?
Theoretically, your plan is pretty good. But in practice, I can see it failing.

How would you get people to know that CA Gamemodes were back up?
Announcements? They would have to run 24/7, adding to the already flood-like chat.
Livestreams? The Admins n' stuff don't seem to have enough time for those, plus not nearly enough people watch them.
Using the new YT channel? It's too new, too little media attention.
Giveaways? Let's be honest, people only want the free donor.

You would have to very quickly gather enough support and players for CA in order to support the servers that would be required to run all the gamemodes. Like, probably within a month, otherwise it'll be draining funds from the other regions. It must be self-sufficient in terms of donations. Right now there's.. how many players that play on CA? And of those, how many actually donate?

I live in CA but i play on US simply because all the people that i know that live in CA play in US, if you could bring that CA community back to what it used to be a year ago that'd be spectacular

Well, announcements during in-game. You say they're flood like chat, except, remember yesterday the BG announcement? You could easily read it because it was in-game. Everyone's focusing on the game, they'll never expect an announcement coming, nonetheless flood the chat.

This is not a necro, it's relevant.

Hey guys, shadow here. Quite a while ago, I posted a status saying that MCG only have 1/8 gamemodes working. KRaidium responded saying that all game modes on US were fully functional. I responded by saying that I was talking about CA. He said to be specific next time, because US is much more priority than CA, because US has a more population.

If I say so myself, I brought up a few good points. I thought "Why does US have more priority over CA." CA's population is 38 million, while US is a mind boggling 307 million. Although, not all of those people play MCG. CA has 34 people on currently, while US has more than 1k. Although, this is because of the Game-Modes. I thought of this, why does no one play on CA? A majority of the people I play with say that they love the new game-modes, and they love CA, no one plays it though.

My point here is that CA isn't popular without all of the gamemodes that US MCG has to offer. When people live in CA, and they love Zed Chase, they can't play it. They're forced to go to US and play it, which they get all around bad connection. That's my case, and a lot of others too. My suggestion is that, instead of making more game-modes, make them available to ALL regions and all servers. Yes, US has a bigger population than CA, but I bet that CA would match up to US in MCSG population if CA had all of the game-modes US had to offer, with the 200 SG servers.

My theory is, why do you make more gamemodes when the ones you have right now aren't available to everyone? Like, you should make sure Quarter Quell is available to every region, before making more gamemodes. But keep TF2, is fun c: In all seriousness, people play on certain regions because they don't like other regions. If they love Zed Chase, they can't play it, or they won't want to since it's only available to one region.

Welp, thanks for hearing me ramble on :p There might be nothing you can do about this, unless MCG tries to get all US MCG game-modes on every region available, which might not happen due to costly funds.

Alright, let's talk. We add all 8 of the other gamemodes to the servers, wouldn't this in some way either distribute the players on the existing servers around the other gametypes, and also cost MCGamer some more money to add the servers? Think about it... Tell me how you think I might be incorrect, I honestly love constructive criticism.

Have a nice day,

GetRidaHim.

There's not enough players to start half the games in the Canadian servers, if we add the other gametypes, we'll spread the users across the other ones, and starting a game on SG will be nearly impossible, or the other gametypes might not be played at all.

MCSG has over 5000 participants, I don't know why US has over 160 servers, they wouldn't have to pay for those if CA had all of the game modes.

Because US is a more popular server, also, than again, it brings up the problem with rarely ever starting up a new game of SG on the CA servers.

It rarely has the problem of starting up a new game because everyone plays on US. Most of them play on US, but don't even live in the US, US just has all of the gamemodes, and more servers, that's why they move.

I think they move to US because of the amount of players. Just an opinion though, your statement is still valid.

The reason US has a high amount of players is because it has all of the gamemodes, and more SG servers!
