I know its too early to usggest because 1.8 is still very far from done, but I wanted to mention this idea already so it can be taken into consideration.
We've all probably heard about the new /barrier function that will be included in 1.8 and how it can both shrink and expand.
Basically, for those who dont know, the barrier commands set up a wall around a certain perimeter that is impossible to go through and anything that gets caught outside it suffocates. One extra function this barriers have is that they can be set up either shrink or expand on a certain ammount of time, specified in the command.
I just thought this could be good for death matches since it is a very good way to make the players fight as their space gets smaller and smaller instead of running!
These barriers could also be useful to make special maps where, instead of being a certain time before DM, the map just keeps on shrinking and forces players to go to the center.
Over all, I think this will be a great addition that could proove to be very useful for Survival Games!
