I used to play a game named Conquer Online. Double point events were extremely popular. (Except they had something called CPS not Points.)
Or, if not weekends perhaps holidays or other events such as Sr. staff+ birthdays, another million games played, map updates, etc.?

No, the only thing which would double would be the amount of points you lose for dying and killing someone.

I'd like double bounties, but that could be abused. Say you bounty 1000 on someone, then your friend gets 2000 from it. Your friend then bounties the 2000, you get 4000 from it. And so on until you have waaaaayyyyy too many points.

Although we do plan on doing this, there is a slight bit of reworking internally to do first in how points are handled in our system.
