So I was thinking why not have sort of monthly rewards for different things? One of the things could be who catches and successfully reports the most hackers in that one month The reward could be iron donor rank for 1 month. It would give people a taste of what donor is like, making them possibly want to donate once their time runs out, and also it would encourage people to catch hackers and report them.

Reporting hackers is supposed to be because you want to help the server, not because you want iron donor.

No, I wasn't thinking about getting donor for myself when I thought of this... and I already basic catch at least 1 hacker every day. And yes, if someone were to give me donor for free, I would take it. I don't see what is so bad about wanting donor.

People have pitched the idea of give-aways for Report Abuses (myself included) before, but we did a similar idea to that and we wound up with the same problem: the competitiveness of people caused more problems than it was worth. With something with actual cash-value at hand, people started reporting other players for minor offenses, or no offenses at all, because they wanted to have the best chance of winning the giveaway. This created a headache that just wasn't worth it, and thus the idea was scrapped.

I've been trying to think about good ideas for contests and such to give another way for people to have fun and win prizes, but I'm terribly uncreative. As I stated in the last mod meeting, I'd love to hear any idea you all have for contests, no matter how small or random.

I'd think that actually getting the feature suggestion added would be the reward itself.
