Voting to kick people?

Have you ever been annoyed by a guy, who spams in full caps, gets the message to type in random letters and numbers, then spams again? And would still continue to do so? I'm suggesting a way to be able to kick a spammer, by the means of a "Vote". The majority of the Server would have to vote as well, so that it isn't overpowered and, whoever started the "Vote" would have to put a reason, and their name announced in the server so that way they don't just kick people they don't like. Will that be possible :p?

I'd probably say it could still be abused, and there's no need for it. This is what mods are for. Spammers are easy to deal with anyway - just ignore them.

Take, for example, someone picking on someone else and claiming that they're hacking. A lot of the time, everyone else hear's the word "hacker" and jumps in, accusing the person of hacking too. If what you suggested was implemented, poof, that person gets kicked when in fact they were innocent and it was just people jumping in and being too... eager.

Hope that made sense o_O tiredness kicking in once again.

I understand your view of it, I never thought of it that way, thanks, but there is always that one spammer, that gets in the way of the chat, where you can literally not see your own text at times, and have nothing to deal with it, because there is no mod on, take this for example. The only one that is not spamming, is at the very top.

Report the player(s) in the report abuse section of the forum, and they'll be dealt with..

This would be abused.

Bob: Hey John, that last game was fun. Congratulations on winning.
John: Thanks.
"Le team of 12 hears."
All /kickvote John.
Random troll votes kick John.
John is unfairly kicked.
John jumps off a bridge due to boredom.
World War 3 starts.

Wait, wat?

Lol... never thought that this could have been used as a troll nuke o.o.... Perhaps we should just leave it to the mods :3

This will never happen, sorry. It can and will get abused to much.

As much as all the negativity is concerned, what about having everyone a 1hour or 2hour cooldown for voting to kick?

If people are on cooldown, then you wouldn't get the majority needed to kick someone, most likely, as some people would not be able to vote. So I'd probably say that wouldn't work.

It wouldn't be abused if the option to kick them came only after a plugin 'verified' that they where spamming, through a set of parameters that must be met.
