MCSG has upgraded there servers and they now have hub servers. where only 1-15 people are in hub at a time. i personally think this is stupid. i stay in hub to meet friends, and meet new people. with the new hub servers it limits people from communicating with people they enjoy. People lag because there are to many people, but i'd rather lag then only talk to 5 people that i have never seen before. and there always isnt a mod in hub at all times, if there was a problem and you need a mod quick, they force you too hop hubs. im not hating on MCGamer network but i find this quite ridiculous. i know i am not the only one that feels this way. i do not find it fun in hub anymore. it also limits me from seeing fans. i have a small youtube channel but i enjoy seeing people notice me on the server. please change the hub back to what it was because there was no problem with it before.

What difference is there? I don't really understand this post. There was a hub before, there is a hub now. There was lobbies before and now. I don't see what is different apart from the look of it all. Please explain?

there are now different hub servers so there isnt 250 people in hub on one server. this reduces the hub to a low amount of people. if you do /server lobby# 1-6 you can change hubs. its annoying.

I agree totally. I don't want to switch between hubs to see my friends. A lot of my friends don't have Skype so this was the only way we could play together. I really want the one hub back.

The reason we switched from the old hub to this new lobby system is to reduce client lag.

I personally never experienced much lag in the hub. However, I can see how other players might benefit from this. Still, I would love to have the old hub back for the following reasons:

Sense of community

In the new system we get eight lobbies which each holds about 100 players max. This structure makes it harder for players to find or talk to each other, especially when they don't use other ways of communicating like Skype or TeamSpeak. Now, if players are looking for a specific person they have to go through the lobbies by using the /server lobby<number> command.
Furthermore, in my opinion the eight lobbies are too quiet right now. In the old hub there was always some activity in the chat. Now, in the EU-lobbies anyway, there's usually not more than 20-30 players in a given lobby. This divide in the in-game community decreases the social aspect of MCSG.

Moderation purposes

As a moderator, the old hub was an excellent place to be in to be available for players. I've caught many hackers by responding to players asking for help in the hub. Now, players have to go through eight lobbies to find a moderator, if there's even one available. Sure, they could poke a member of staff on TeamSpeak. But not all players have this installed or know how to use it.
In addition, in comparison to the old hub chat offenses in the lobbies are much harder to notice and punish. Now, we have to rely more on players to report these offenses.
