Rust is a steam game, and is basically a mixture of DayZ and Minecraft. http://playrust.com/about/
The aim of the game is to survive. This is where the Minecraft similarities come into play - you have to gather resources (ore, wood) and craft with said resources. As you make better tools, you obtain more resources; allowing for more upgrades (guns, armor). Keep in mind, this game is only multiplayer right now (it's in early stages of Alpha, although surprisingly well made being only in Alpha), so all these people are trying to thrive alongside you in this big, but not endless, world. Some of those people will be hostile, some friendly. They can find you, kill you, and take your stuff. But hey - you can do that right back.
The game's similarities to DayZ are the graphics, first of all. Playing the game is a lot like DayZ. Also, alot of the items are similar, mainly being the weapons. Some say that Rust is just DayZ with Minecraft mechanics thrown in.. I'm okay with that. It's all based on the player's opinion though.
The point of this thread is to find out if any of you MCSG'ers play Rust. If not, check out the website! I absolutely love it. It's preventing me from playing MCSG, I'm addicted to it. So yeah, if you do play it, let me know! I'd like to see how many of there you are. c:
