Switch Community Map (24T)

I've played a couple games on the new community made map Breeze Island, and it's gotten annoying that it's so small. The game is shorter, which I appreciate in a way but it doesn't make all that much difference anyways because I switch servers when I die normally. Now the map completely depends on luck. If you can get a sword close enough to the beginning and start killing people with it, within a minute you will have full armor of some sort and an iron sword. This just happened the 5+ times I played map 4 in a row.
It's not a bad map or anything, it's just far too small. With a big map you have to work and run around the map for chests. On this map you barely need food because swimming doesn't lower your hunger bar nearly as fast as anything else does, so you can just quickly swim from island to island if necessary.
I'm not the only one who thinks this, I have seen 10-20 people that didn't like the map, about 5 that did and the rest hadn't tried it yet so they voted for it so that they could. I don't know if this is completely true, but I've noticed more people disliking it than liking it. So there will always be that odd game out where you will play on Breeze Island and at least I will leave to go find another server because I dislike having to play on the small map.
I like all 3 of the maps made by Vareide, and I haven't played enough on the new 48T map (Overgrown Arena ? Not sure what it's called) to form an opinion yet. But I've definitely had enough of Map 4 with 24 tributes.

Im pretty sure lots of people just dont like it because they dont know where anything is yet. I get your point about it being small, but use that to your advantage, if you dont have a sword, hit people off cliffs xD I have killed a couple people that way already who had far better stuff than me. Also, try to get a route while you are in spectator, and you will be much more happy if you get a sword

Ive noticed a lot of people enjoying the maps, its a fast paced game that requires a little bit of thinking before you move as it is such an open place. Like ownage said, if you don't have a sword use that to your advantage bait people into bad situations and kill them. Maps are all a personal preference of course, but i see where your coming from.

Well I've been unable to play any maps except that one all day and I wanna play one of the other maps too. And I don't expect the rush of people voting for this map to stop before the end of today, maybe not even tomorrow. Maybe not ever. I understand the baiting people into bad situations and I might try that but it gets annoying to play the same map over and over again. This one of the more important reasons I want some servers dedicated to the same map so you can target that server to play that map. I like the voting, that should stay but not on all the servers so that I don't have to miss a couple days of MCSGing.
