Voting + the rewards

Idea

I feel if Voting was added into MCgamer the server would get a lot of votes, therefore attracting new members, and making it grow. In my opinion Voting is the best advertisement, and with a large community with this, can easily beat the top servers.

Rewards

The rewards could be maybe 1-10 points for a singular vote to a random potion effect ingame or doing /chest ingame brings you a tier 3chest.

How this could be implemented

With the point rewards you can add a statistic in the /records + /stats for: Voting Points. This is to show there actual points without the voting ones, and show there 'legit' point total.
With the random potion effect, say you have 3 voting links if you vote on all 3 of them, and join a game.
You can do /effect and in 5-10 seconds you can get a random good effect. If it was a random good/bad effect it could stop people from voting as there is a chance it can ruin there game.
With the /chest it can be a similiar voting technique to the potion effect (to vote on all links) but how the /chest works, it will virtualise a chest on your screen with tier 3 chest and you can take the items on there.

This server can progress much further and gain alot more players.
It's also a fun thing for players to use

I don't see a problem with this, but I'd prefer voters don't get a potion effect in game. That's simply too OP.

Yes, while I was reading it I thought that. But it could be for 10-30 seconds.
Or just strength/speed I, rather than 2.
It does ruin it for some people, but there are other ideas.

I actually think it's quiet a good idea it would give people a reason to come back everyday and at least play on game it also could bring in loads of new players making the server bigger and better and plus the amount of things you can change like instead of a potion effect give them food or maybe just have it a random item from anything to a stick to a diamond sword.

Yeah that's the whole point of the tier 3 chest, you get several good items

So by getting an extra chest, it's a vote to win?
So by recieving a few extra points a day, they become flooded with points?
Because they get a potion effect for less than 15 seconds, they kill everyone in the game?

Maybe not vote-to-win but it gives a major unfair advantage to players who vote. Voters would no longer need knowledge of the map because they get a free chest and they need less PvP skill because of potion effects.

Also, the MCSG Network is already a huge network that does not need any more publicity.

Any server can grow even if it's the biggest. Also by getting 1 chest how do you need no knowledge of the map, at most you can get an iron armour and maybe a sword.
And with the potions, the opposing player can easily flee until his effects are gone. Like I said they aren't that strong. Also remember it's ONCE per day.
